Australia's JOY 94.9 one-hour Adam Lambert special I've uploaded it here: www.mixcloud.com/grrrr_unt/australias-joy-949-one-hour-adam-lambert-special/ Songs they played:
1. Ghost Town 2. Ring of Fire (American Idol Studio Recording) 3. Shady (feat. Nile Rodgers & Sam Sparro) 4. Evil In the Night 5. Another Lonely Night 6. Marry the Night (Glee Studio Recording) 7. Whataya Want from Me (Live at ENERGY Berlin 103.4) 8. Red House (Jimi Hendrix cover @ Winstar Casino, OK on New Years' Eve 2013)
------ Also, check out the 18-min interview-only podcast (with fewer songs as well). There's some exclusive un-aired interview segments on there, so do check it out as well! It's here: joy.org.au/soundmuseum/2015/06/adam-lambert-2/

Ola Lustig had an opportunity to interview Adam yesterday for NRJ (Sweden) and this morning on air the hosts talked about Adam and the interview; also played a short clip Adam talking about working in Stockholm and with Max, Swedes make their own sunshine, Tove Lo is cool. Other than the clip it's in Swedish. www.radioplay.se/clip/10545/?autoplayThey described him as a perfect creature, so handsome, so good-looking; several different words and repeated several times. But the interview had a bumpy start, namely a disagreement with the record company. Ola had an idea to trick Adam a little and wanted to teach him to sing Swedish national anthem - but it was a fake (just a random song, perhaps Ola's own). Adam went with it (or would've been a good sport) but the record company said no. They complain a bit that record companies don't like funny things. One of the hosts, Titti defends WBR that they need to protect their artists as there's so much BS and silliness thrown at them like Ola just proved. Ola would really have liked to hear him sing but he continues with what happened next - and says that Adam is a nice guy - and handsome. (Adam clip). Applauds, talk resumes in the studio, nice guy (again, lol), mention of Rumours W/Tove Lo on the new album, one of the hosts asks did he say anything about me? No he didn't but in the corridor he recognised Jocke who interviewed him two years ago for three minutes (told in an astonished tone) and Jocke joins in saying that's a nice guy for you - and other hosts make some noise like wow. Then talk about being openly gay quite early, he was not bullied much but there was a time when it was difficult. Follow a story from high-school. There was a boy who teased A about it over and over again in PE and finally A got enough and punched him hard. The teacher (who was lesbian btw) took A aside and and said well-done - and the bullying stopped. The hosts say, yes, you see, respect! that's the way to go. They end with mentioning album release next week and play GT. Thanks Belle! Really loved the story at the end

* JOY played a nice collection of songs! Although I don't remember hearing Red House, maybe I stopped too early. Sorry but I found it a bit annoying with all membership pimping, fundraising, listing countries from twitter and commercials. But it's exposure, their style and he did speak some, so it's ok - I was just eager to hear Adam bits. However, I didn't get what was so extraordinary fun with it and putting a sound on the 'word' Adam said in the end left me totally confused (like why play the bit if you can't hear it, or is it obvious to all native speakers?). Foreign languages are hard and more so with unfamiliar accents, so I wish someone could shed some light to this, please.
* Shazam might've been the one to listen live this time as I get the sound from an on-going broadcast but no video nor audio from Adam. Any advise on how to get it?

Today I told to my co-worker, I'm going to the Liveaid concert on Saturday and Adam will be performing there. He asked me that whether Adam's band is with him! It took me a while before I realized that the band means Queen!

Nothing wrong with that - just a bit too much for me today. Enjoyed the songs very much like I said. But puzzling for me is that they did promo the show with 'had so much fun and never laughed as much during an interview' etc. that I missed, maybe I zoned out a bit with all the extras and lost concentration. Did they giggle with Adam? Were they joking in the interview? Some laughs yes, but especially so? Should I take time later to re-listen to it (can't do it now)? That's what I was trying to ask.
