Awww, huge nostalgia moment for me!  RTL (name originally Radio Téle Luxembourg) brought Radio Luxembourg to the surface. The radio channel we desperately tried to tune in early 70's (also 60's but I was too young then) in order to hear new 'pop' music. Late at night the signal was better although it was always patchy and had noise (static and other stations' echo) in it. We had to wait for ages to hear new songs on our radio (that had about two hours a week for 'young people's music') and they were few. Oh, how it's different now!  |
