And he answered 'You have just bought air tickets to Moscow?' I couldn't believe my ears, that he remembered and thought that!!! Amazing!! But anyway it was not about the Moscow concert that I was going to talk about. But anyway! His answer really made my day!!! But no, not going to Moscow, conflict of schedule

In an interview with MSN in late April, Gaga said, "'Judas' is a metaphor and an analogy about forgiveness and betrayal and things that haunt you in your life and how I believe that it's the darkness in your life that ultimately shines and illuminates the greater light that you have upon you." On Wednesday and then Thursday, Gaga sent out provocative messages over Twitter, saying, "THE JUDAS KISS: a betrayal of a prophecy fulfilled?" and "The Cultural Baptism cannot be stopped." OK, her first statement it is very carefully worked. We need to face the dark within ourselves rather than repress (the Judas within us) which is a huge problem in Christianity. Have to agree with anything that has Christians facing their dark side rather than repressing it. It will be interesting to hear what she believes that prophecy is and what she is baptising our culture into... I kinda think there is a typo her twitter, "a betrayal OR a prophecy fulfilled" might be what she meant, as what she has said on MSN about this song emphasizes destiny or pre-destination: on-msn.com/ljoiwE (actually this is a good read) An interpretation which suggests that Judas was playing a pre-determined role (maybe the toughest of all) in bringing about the crucifiction. But generally the video has been greeted so far w/ not much shock or controversy or anything from religious groups (there was more before it was released). And a gay interpretation is possible, though I read somewhere that even though the actors suggested it, Gaga didn't want Judas and Jesus to make out in her video. The problem I have with deep analysis of Gaga videos/songs is that it rarely seems to pay off. She dumps in a ton of cultural references, both low and hi-brow, and then doesn't do anything in particular with them. If she has a specific message, it remains somewhat incoherent. It's kind of like watching Heros or maybe Lost? (I've only heard 2nd hand), you can invest a lot of time in looking for clues, a larger picture, but if the scriptwriter doesn't have the vision to actually pull off a satisfying resolution of all the puzzles at the end, it's just a big tease. Her songs/videos do work on the level of relationship dynamics, and sometimes self-acceptance and understanding. Just IMO they don't work as well as cultural analyses as she might wish?

I don't know if I should be joyous beyond belief at this or depressed because this has been a tough day. And interview of Sauli in 2008: Do you believe in love at first sight? - I do. It would be the sweetest thing in the world to just walk down the street and come across the sweetest person in the world. Our eyes would just meet, and we'd continue together. Not much words needed.
