Glad to see you all get your fix  I streamed the album and my initial thoughts: All in all - Max did a good job at least solidifying a sound. It's hard for me to review this as anything negative I have to say about it comes from my lack of interest in this type of music overall. I'm not the demo he's looking to score with. I still hope that he does an album with Queen one day because I think it could work VERY well. I like it better than Trespassing for certain. I still think I like FYE better overall but that could change with a few listens. Talon - if you're out there, you've said a lot of what I thought, only better. Really like several of the tracks, will buy the album (deluxe because I wonder what the extras are like), but my appreciation for pop music is limited. Have a few single pop song purchases on my iPod, but Adam's albums are the only full ones I own. That being said, I hope he really hits the big time with this one. He deserves it, and I want to see where he goes next. I am! Still here rattling cages I guess! I too hope he's successful. He's a genuinely likable guy, with a great voice. As for him wanting to a pop star...I know I never implied otherwise. I also have never said/implied he should do something he doesn't want to do. He has every right to chase the pop ring More power to him! And likewise, I have every right to wish he went a different direction. He ain't losin' sleep I'm sure and neither am I...Just simple personal preferences. I do like to think I am a good representation of the open minded Queen fan who would come to check out TOH after seeing him in QAL so I'll be interested to see how many of them pre-order/buy. Of course putting Brian on a track is a shrewd way to make certain the obsessive side of Queen collectors buy it  I'm not canceling my preorder or anything  I hope he does well enough for you guys to get a solo tour.... |

Anyone else having problems getting the Amazon TOH stream to work? I have tried in Firefox & Chrome browsers on an Android phone and in the Silk browser on a wifi connected Amazon Kindle Fire HDX table. I press the green arrow and nothing happens. I had to go to IE!! Puffin app for android. Don't know if available for kindle fire. |
