My heart just aches to hear about Bamafan, her home and husband's business. I know it will all work out. She has more spirit and energy than 3 mere mortals. I know she will be fine but she has a long road ahead.
I have been through having to rebuild my life twice -- most recently after Hurricane Wilma, it takes a long, long, long time. And my insurance company was great -- which helped. Our battle was getting a contractor, roof tiles, windows, 2 by 4's just the basics needed to rebuild our house.
The folks in Alabama have a different problem -- many are getting very low offers for their homes and cannot afford to rebuild. (Because housing prices continue to drop.) I hope that Bama and Mr. Bama get a fair offer on their house.
Each disaster recover situation is completely different and has its own challenges but there is an oddly good side to surviving -- I am a different and better person after loosing so much "stuff" -- but it took a long time to gain to this perspective. I really have learned what is important, but I still have flashbacks to the bad times.

I really have learned what is important, but I still have flashbacks to the bad times. Yes, she is a strong, proud lady and I know she will fine, but traveling that road will surely test her strength at times. No one wants to have to go through the tough times, but so often people emerge on the other side stronger, wiser, and more compassionate than ever. Sounds like you are one of those people, Q3 (you too, Catz -- so glad your are back and spunky) and I know bama is too.

I wont be able to be with you guys tonight. I'm going out to see a Da Vinci models exhibition that has come to my country. I think it will be worth it going out. Have fun and I'll catch the thread late at night.
