Wow, he looked so gorgeous in his suit with his perfect hair and he smelled so good!!! Until today we still ask ourselves if it was Adam himself who changed his plans and decided to meet us fans for a few minutes or if it was the idea of the radio-station?! It would be truly interesting to know …! Betty, so thrilled for you. Thank you for the report, it made me a bit emotional. Those pics!!! I'd have run right into those open arms, lol. (Probably would've knocked him flat haha). OMG, what did he smell like? Was it all too much? The proximity of perfection, sexiness = intoxicating sensory overload. I think we can all safely assume that it was Adam who decided to stop and meet you all

If I remember it correctly, some time ago (two years?) radio 1 decided not to play Robbie Williams anymore, he was too old for the targeted audience (I thought it was Robbie).Very strange decision cause Robbie Williams is huge in the UK with all ages.
And this BBC 2 programm has several guest but almost 1,5 hours along and not one guest was on air....)

Yeah it's mostly an oldies station with loads of inane chatter. I'm not a publicist or anything but their audience is probably not the kind that would appreciate a sick deep house drop. ETA: Sorry if I seem bitchy when it comes to UK promo but come on!! I remember many Brits bitchy about this to Shoshanna when it came up. But I had no idea. We really do not have any radio format like this in the US -- kind of like a mix of Oldies, AC and boring talk. Here is the official description "BBC Radio 2. The remit of Radio 2 is to be a distinctive mixed music and speech service, targeted at a broad audience, appealing to all age groups over 35." I guess they think people over 35 are close to dead! "Ghost Town" belongs on BBC Radio 1 based on the audience target. Maybe someday. But the song really fits with the playlist on BBC 1XTRA -- but Adam is white.
their published playlist doesn't look that outdated, right? but they are not playing from the playlist...I can be wrong of course... www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/playlist

Betty what an amazing story. So happy for you !!!
I got stuck in major traffic this morning for over an hour. Was I cranky ? No way ..... I streamed Lucy as many times as I could. (On The legal stream provided by ET Canada you can select which section you want to listen to). I am in love with all the songs - but am just in love with Lucy right now. Kinda hoping for another traffic jam on the commute home LOL

How long til Adam? I got things to do, places to go. Of course, I know someone will record it, so I can hear it later. But, I am hooked on every little thing.
Just heard the Beatles "Day Tripper." A flash back from my early youth. Listening to it I recalled that at the time I was not concerned about the quality of the singing, the depth of the lyrics, whether it fit the radio genre, etc. It was the Beatles new song, so I loved it, played it repeatedly, and thought they were geniuses. Adam sure raised my standards and expectations!

So glad we in the Netherlands aren't that narrow minded. Our stations gladly match Ghost Town up with WWRY from Queen or WWYFM with I want it all. Great combination ofcouse . And these station target also below 35 (18-35 mostly). The Original High is now #9 overall on Dutch iTunes by the way!!!! Only 3 other one artist only albums before him!! (Muse, B.B. King and Typhoon.) GT is also gaining back some losses from yesterday when it wasn't available and now on #15 overall.

Had to sign in to tell Betty your recap is amazing. Thank you for posting.
Really liking TOH, GT and Lucy. Skipping Underground and TISI. Rumors is growing on me but Adam's voice sounds distorted in the verse in that song??? Weird.
