Has anyone noticed if the Tove Lo and Brian May fandoms are aware of collaborations on TOH? Queen fans are aware of "Lucy". They have had decades to organize and create online forums/networks. My take is some Queen fans like TOH, most are not interested in it and do not like pop music and/or electronic instrumentation. Here is one quote from a Queen fan who has become an Adam fan, "It's a pretty good album I think....worth listening to it to hear the Red Special wailing away on "Lucy", at the very least :D" The Queen fans are mostly interested in the South American tour and if Adam is going to record with Queen. Tove Lo is so new there is not a lot of online fan activity -- at least not in English. And there are not a lot of comments on articles about her (yet). She really is not an established pop star, she is an artist with two hit pop songs. She had a big, sleeper US hit in 2013, "Habits" #3 BB Hot 100/#1 Top 40, but did not build a fan base here. Her album, "Queen of the Clouds" (2014) peaked at #14 in the US -- #6 in Sweden -- has not had the expected impact, around 26,000 total copies sold in the US. But now with "Talking Body" having an impact in the US and Canada, she is doing radio promo concerts here. But I am not seeing much in the way of a "fandom" forming. This collab is a win-win -- great for Adam, but also is getting her a lot of press and exposure. [She is doing a lot of festival concerts - Firefly and Lollapoolza, radio promos, and some one-off solo concerts -- and that should build her fanbase.] Sorry so late - I've been busy. I would second Q3 here for the most part. The hardcore Queen fans are aware and at least half pf those will purchase simply because they (like me) are completists. I would buy a Justin Bieber album (*SHUDDER* Please no.) if Brian did a solo on it). I do think Adam won many fans over during the tours but fans of him, not necessarily his music. It's more that Adam won their respect, but they aren't going to switch their musical tastes. I'm sure a HUGE amount of fans gained respect for Montserrat Caballe during the Barcelona album, but the fans of Freddie were mostly rock fans and weren't going to start buying opera albums en masse. If Adam had done a more rock album, he would have had a better shot at retaining Queen fans for his music...but he wants the pop ring so it is what it is

And I really do hope, for all our sakes, that Justin Bieber and Brain May never meet!
