Thanks. So it still counts for something--just not album sales. The post above you indicates that Ghost Town youtube or streaming also counts towards album sales.. it's a little confusing. Can anyone clarify? I'm not sure what post you are talking about but Q3 indicated Youtube only counts for the single and the Lambert411 post states that there is no definitive answer about the album chart. I didn't see any post that said it definitely counted for both. This is Youtube only I'm talking about.

So let me see if I am understanding this correctly. -Stream Ghost Town 1500 times it will count as BOTH 1 album and 15 songs. - Buy 10 downloads of GT from Amazon and it will count as BOTH 10 songs and 1 album -Streaming on YouTube counts for the song but it may or may not count for album sales

The post above you indicates that Ghost Town youtube or streaming also counts towards album sales.. it's a little confusing. Can anyone clarify? The Lambert 411 information states that streaming GT on Spotify etc counts towards both the Billboard singles and album charts. Hits on YouTube, however, definitely count towards the singles chart but may or may not count towards the album charts (Billboard has not been explicit regarding the latter). ETA: Focusing on GT has the added benefit of producing good GT streaming figures to impress radio The rules are on page one in detail. Streaming Audio services, including Spotify, count for both charts. YT and Streaming Video services only count for certain singles charts. And yes, Radio programmers pay most attention to iTunes and Spotify. YouTube, not so much. The audio only streams are most predictive for radio which is audio. *****
So just in case anyone is still confused....YouTube DOES NOT COUNT FOR THE BILLBOARD 200 ALBUM CHART! and that is what matters most starting in 6 hours!

Perfect. SO PERFECT I AM STEALING IT FOR PAGE 1! Plus, Streaming GT 1500 = 15 sale units for RIAA digital song certification!! Also, buy 1 album and that = 1 album

Nice comment on one of the NYE videos:
Chrissie Johnson 4 hours ago Thought I would watch this after seeing Adam Lambert for the first time on Sunday Brunch this morning! Have to say we all loved Freddie and could not imagine anyone replacing him. However Adam is not a replacement but a new frontman in his own right chosen by Queen themselves and I think he has charisma and a great voice as well as stage presence. How could Queen continue to perform concerts and give pleasure to their fans without a singer? Adam is fabulous in his own right and does a brilliant job!! X

Don't know if I can catch up on everything as the countdown to official release approaches. Have been gone the last day and a half to help my brother clean out and redo his rose garden. Now I have flooring people coming Tuesday and Wednesday. I think I will be locked in my computer room all week streaming from multiple devices while I try to keep track of what the guys are doing to the rest of the house. I must have had a serious brain fart when I agreed to the installation dates. Geez! Deep breathing does not help and repeating/chanting "It will be alright" does not seem to help.
Hope members having a chance to get to New York for the Barnes & Noble signing and GMA performance have an amazing time. Will be waiting for your stories.

I'm so glad to read that Amazon counts. I have played that at least 20 times. Thanks for listing so I know I am counting when I play the album.

I take back my criticism of the Pop Justice forum! A few days ago, I complained here about the amount of hate shown by Pop Justice regulars on the "Adam Lambert Discussion" thread. (Actually, "condescension" would have been a more accurate word.) Since then---apart from one luminary who claims rather implausibly that TOH is "beige" and "personality-free"---various posters there have gone out of their way to variously praise The Light, Heavy Fire, the FYE and Trespassing albums, and even Adam's refreshing candour Colour me pleasantly surprised! www.popjustice.com/forum/threads/12554-Adam-Lambert-General-Discussion-Thread/page11 I looked at it the day you posted and was happy to see a thread and site that hadn't been invaded by glamberts. There have been far too many instances of fans crashing the online homes of strangers in the effort to "protect" Adam or to "inform" the rabble and I think in each and every case it has been a major fail. I love seeing people discover Adam on their own and snark, condescension, and all that is absolutely to be expected in a non-glambert site, it's pefectly normal and so much more exciting to watch if they change their tune without outside influence (which usually turns them against Adam instead of for him). So I'm glad that they have such a long leadtime before people can become members and hope against hope that it remains free and sorry to use this phrase but I can't think of another word that portrays my feelings but "unpolluted" by fans.
