1500 streams don't make an album on YouTube. 100 streams count as a song download and count toward Billboard Hot 100 singles chart which radio pulls their list from. So 1500 plays=15 buys of that download, could be same as an album , just not for the album chart. Spotify counts songs whether you listen on or offline. When you log onto the internet, your stats get updated. Spotify counts 1500 streams as an album buy for Billboard Hot 200album chart, and pays artists. Maybe not a lot but more than Pandora and YouTube. I keep a short playlist running on YouTube and Spotify. YouTube views get talked about on Billboard and other reputable sites more than Spotify, but streaming both matter
