Would it make any kind of sense for WBR to put a sale price on TOH today?? IMO, WB should have dropped the price for one day right before Adam's GMA performance.

I think WBR has bigger plans for Adam than just focusing on iTunes placement and getting #1. We did that with Trespassing and it made no difference in the long run. I think the plan is to build Adam's image and awareness and with this they are being successful. It seems to me that RCA was looking at quick profits and how to milk the most money out of Adam. I get the impression that WBR has long term plans and things are going they way they planned.

I think today's GMA concert must have been planned to give TOH a final boost of sales, don't you think so? Aside from building awareness of his music, of course

Aside from building awareness of his music, of course Yes, of course they want to boost sales. But if their only goal was to get a #1 they could have dropped the album to $5 etc. I think they knew when they signed Adam how big his fan base is currently and what needs to happen to build it. Adam has talked before how everything is well planned. While I wish he was at the top of every chart, I don't want to worry about it. My job as a fan is to enjoy the music. It's Adam's team's job to worry about the numbers and make decisions accordingly.

Latest Billboard forecast Adam Lambert Aiming for Third Top 10 Album on Billboard 200 Chart www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/6605230/adam-lambert-third-top-10-album-on-billboard-200Adam Lambert is on track to score his third top 10 album on the Billboard 200 chart next week with The Original High. Industry forecasters suggest the album, which was released June 16 on Warner Bros. Records, could move around 35,000 equivalent album units in the week ending June 21. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The chart’s new top 10 will be revealed on Wednesday, June 25. The Original High is Lambert’s first album for Warner Bros. after departing RCA Records, where he logged his two earlier top 10s: His For Your Entertainment debut in 2009 (No. 3 debut and peak) and its follow-up, the No. 1-bowing Trespassing in 2012. Meanwhile, veteran singer/songwriter James Taylor is heading for his first No. 1 album on next week’s chart, as his Before This World could debut with around 75,000 units. Taylor has previously logged 11 top 10 albums in his 45-year chart career. Other albums on course for significant debuts include Hilary Duff’s Breathe In. Breathe Out. and Nate Ruess’ Grand Romantic ( both with around 25,000).

BB has not been the most accurate predictor, which is funny, actually.

UK midweek album report for Friday has TOH at #5, so down a place from Wednesday. Chances are that his sales are very frontloaded, so expect TOH to end up lower than #5 on Sunday's Official Chart, but it will quite possibly remain in the top 10, which to my mind would be a BRILLIANT result given the total lack of airplay for his single.
I guess there's still a faint chance that radio might pick up GT here, but if not, I hope they get on board for the next single, presumably The Original High, so that the album can keep selling - it surely deserves to!

As of Thursday, TOH has sold 7.2 K copies in UK, it should probably end up with 9K.
