It is quite appropriate! YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY FORGIVE. I am still hoping they might pick ME! (But since I have never, ever won anything....... not expect to win.)

www.nytimes.com/2015/06/16/arts/music/review-adam-lambert-tones-down-excess-on-the-original-high.html?_r=0Review: Adam Lambert Tones Down Excess on ‘The Original High’By JON CARAMANICAJUNE 15, 2015 ADAM LAMBERT “The Original High”(Warner Bros.) excerpt: Maybe, to succeed, Mr. Lambert had to find a way to submit to something greater. And on “The Original High,” his third full-length record, he’s managed just that. The album is executive produced by Max Martin and Shellback, the Swedish pop mercenaries with abiding love of 1980s flash and 1990s dance music verve. They have found in Mr. Lambert an ability to be vague. Perversely, that’s set him free. “Ghost Town” is perhaps his best single to date. At the first chorus, it becomes an early-’90s club thumper, and Mr. Lambert doesn’t try to best the beat. Instead, he becomes a house diva, singing with precision and ambition but in service of the song. The strategic restraint continues on “The Original High,” and even into “Another Lonely Night,” which could have come from the “Top Gun” soundtrack. He sings with particular intensity on “Lucy,” a grand-scaled 1980s rock-style epic, but even here he lets the guitar have the loudest word. I'm sorry I find Jon C. to be a pompous ass. Wasn't he the critic that gave QAL at the garden a negative review?

That was probably in the job description for a NYT critic but this is not at all a bad review for the NYT. They are usually on the attack when it comes to Adam.

LMAO "He came in second, losing to the vocal rice cake Kris Allen, in what felt like a referendum on the unimaginativeness of the American reality-contest voting public." best description of that whole situation ever.

Thanks for your replies, Crazy4You, bamafan, 4everaddam and kwanyin re the Newbury orders!! I'm pretty sure it will come after we leave tmw, but it will be a great welcome home on Friday....must make sure my sister puts it in a safe place for me! And DancyGeorgia: thank you for the info re downloading the CD for my trip. I screencapped your reply so I can do it later. I'm just back here, checking the thread because......about an hour ago, I dropped my iPad on the hard floor and the screen is shattered!!! (Trying NOT to interpret this as a bad omen just prior to our getaway....but my husband keeps looking at me in a funny way.....) So I will try to put the music on my phone, so I don't go thru withdrawal over the next few days...... Just realized: I ordered new bluetooth headphones to use on this trip. They arrived today....and I broke the screen while I was charging them......Never even got to pair them!! PS: Congrats, Theosgma!!!! Glad someone had good luck today!!! Have a wonderful trip and give Adam a hug from me!!! See full Amazon Music app instructions at: www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201376340Be sure to register the Amazon Music app with the same email address you use for your Amazon account. Most smartphones have bluetooth and should work with your new headset. ETA- And my tendency to drop phones and tablets is why I always put them in a Spec case if possible.
