1. Cd's count for billboard but we can't find many in the stores. 2. We can't find many in the stores because people don't buy cd's any longer. 3. Streaming counts but 1,500 streams equal one cd sale. 4. If cd's aren't available everywhere and are, in fact, going by the way side, why are they used as a barometer for streams? 5. Someone somewhere mentioned something about GT streams not even counting towards billboard - wut? 6. Okay, so I'm streaming because I've bought a few hard copies when I find them, ordered on ITunes during the presale and then after the album release, bought off of Amazon, bought one at a store. 7. I've voted like crazy on the Subway poll and continue to vote on Z100 for Artist of the Summer. 8. I've followed all the radio stations in my area that will play Adam's sound. 9. I've established FB accts and twitter accts and new email accts for my alter ego. 10. I've followed all the programs that Adam has appeared on and thanked those giving him an interview. 11. Adam's album should finish in the Top 5 this week. I feel like I am one of thousands of fans that are doing the same thing. Does every artist have fans that do this just to get some radio play? What are we missing that radio wants from us to start playing Adam more frequently? I feel like we've pressed all the available buttons and it's still not enough. I'd like to hear Adam more then once every few days. Are the other fan bases requesting? Or, are their numbers just so large that we can't compete enough to make a difference? I'm not disheartened in the least but just curious now what we should be doing after Sunday at midnight to keep forging ahead. I'm no expert and can't address all your points but I did want to speak to #3 & #4. "Album" sales are the unit of measure and the barometer, not physical CDs. An album or its equivalent can be a physical CD, a digital iTunes or mp3 purchase of an entire album, 10 digital sales of singles from the same album (called track equivalent sales) or, as you mentioned, 1500 streams of one of more singles from the same album. Even though no sales dollars change hands, this amount of streams is equated to an album sale. All these different ways of tallying up sales are reflective of the way people consume music now. But like someone else mentioned, a small fanbase can stream 24/7 and may not make a huge difference to sales. Artists whose sales are really getting huge bumps in US sales from streaming are those who are so popular their streams are coming from millions of casual US fans playing a few songs at a time (plus the hard core ones of course). Adams fans are the best in the world, but we do not number in the millions in the US. (Worldwide perhaps! ) ETA: just typed this up and realized I might be breaking the "keep numbers in the numbers thread" discussion. I understand if this needs to be moved or deleted

Melliemom I don't think there are a million or two fans of Adam in America. He is not a band like Muse who can have #1 album after another without radio hits or who tour giant arenas. It's all about the songs at the end of the day. You and other fans have certainly done their part. I think GT will stick around for a while. It's a totally weird, risky first single and imo great to attract new listeners. Looking forward to seeing the vids. Just to be accurate, Muse just had their first #1 album in the US last week. They have toured in arenas in the US since 2009. They could do that in part because they were a progressive rock band -- and there was an establish concert market/audience for rock artists. *** How many fans does Adam have in America? I don't think anyone (including Adam or his team) know. *** Could Adam do a solo arena tour right now? Could he fill arenas? Strongly doubt it. He is not in a genre that has a large concert going audience -- Rock, Country, Urban. Can Adam do a solo tour in mid-sized arenas (3K - 8K+) in 2016? Maybe. Too early to tell what TOH will do.

(Worldwide perhaps! ) ETA: just typed this up and realized I might be breaking the "keep numbers in the numbers thread" discussion. I understand if this needs to be moved or deleted I want to respond to this list....but for starters let me say, not this is not a discussion about the technical aspects of the HDD forecast which is what I did not want posted in the news thread. I also quoted Avari because she addressed some of what I wanted to say. >> So for starters, TOH promo is in the first week. >> This list is built on some premise that Adam TOH CDs are hard to find. They are not. There is not one place in the US that does not have TOH CDs sitting in stores. 1. Cd's count for billboard but we can't find many in the stores.> I have now been to B&Ns, Walmarts, Best Buys and Targets in 4 states, there is no lack of CDs in the channel for people to buy. Target and Best Buy are particularly well stocked -- some with 40+ units. > Digital albums and tracks also count for BBoard. There is unlimited digital supply. 2. We can't find many in the stores because people don't buy cd's any longer.>> Not true -- see number 1. Stores are being restocked. There was a few reports of issues with Walmart stocking on day 1. And Walmart is only selling the clean version. 3. Streaming counts but 1,500 streams equal one cd sale.>> So what? 4. If cd's aren't available everywhere and are, in fact, going by the way side, why are they used as a barometer for streams?>> Where aren't they available? The 1,000 of 5,000 Walmarts that do not carry CDs. There are some Targets that do not have music departments but there are TOH CDs in over 9,000 locations in the US. 5. Someone somewhere mentioned something about GT streams not even counting towards billboard - wut?>> That is utter nonsense. The only things that do not count are VIDEO STREAMS, unofficial streams and online radio. 6. Okay, so I'm streaming because I've bought a few hard copies when I find them, ordered on ITunes during the presale and then after the album release, bought off of Amazon, bought one at a store.>> Great. 7. I've voted like crazy on the Subway poll and continue to vote on Z100 for Artist of the Summer.>> The Subway poll got Adam radio airplay, although no longer relevant because GT is on the AT40 CHR countdown on Saturday. The Z100 poll is meaningless -- it is just for fun. 8. I've followed all the radio stations in my area that will play Adam's sound. 9. I've established FB accts and twitter accts and new email accts for my alter ego. 10. I've followed all the programs that Adam has appeared on and thanked those giving him an interview.>> 8, 9, 10 -- these are all great. And the point is? GT is on the radio -- mostly because of Adam, WBR and the song -- but in part do to fans. 11. Adam's album should finish in the Top 5 this week.>> Adam's album will finish in the Top 4 on the Billboard 200 this week, and the Top 3 on the Billboard Albums chart. This is a good thing. I feel like I am one of thousands of fans that are doing the same thing.>> And much of what is on this list is NOT ORGANIC. Particularly 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. For decade passionate fans have tried to have a disproportionate effect on the charts and sales. It doesn't work. Adam's music need to find its audience -- and needs to move beyond his core fans. I bought TOH because I love this music. I follow my local Top 40 stations because I listen to it. I follow Z100 because I listen to it. >> If you are doing a lot of things you don't normally do, and that makes you happy, go for it. But if it does not make you happy, stop. Finally, you can do more good by give a legit gift of Adam's music to someone you think will really like it than most of what is on this list.

Did anyone else get this email re their bundle ! Request Update Hello Cheryl, This is a follow up on your order Xxxxxxxx from MyplayDirect's Adam Lambert Store. We've received an update from our supply chain team that bundles without the signed booklet have shipped. The signed booklet component itself has run into further delays and is causing the hold up on the rest of the items that are instock. We are getting a new expected date for it and will let you know as soon as we receive an update. We can however, request our supply chain team for an exception and have the available item shipped separately as we normally ship items all together. Please confirm if you prefer that instead. We'll be waiting for your response. Sincerely, Macey MyPlay Direct How is our Customer Service? Please make sure to say yes if you get this email!!!

Just thinking, for those here at adamtopia .. if you want to buy a CD and can't find one at your local Target ,Walmart ,etc.. you can order as many CDS as you want through Amazon.. They will count towards the BB200 as long as you order and charge by SUNDAY NIGHT Really no problem.. I ordered a number from Amazon and only bought one for my daughter at target Most online orders of anything are NOT charged until they are shipped. It's not a sale until it's paid for. I would order as soon as possible.

I have a little story re CD buying, that may surprise you. Wednesday night I bought the deluxe clean CD for my daughter at HMV. (Btw, huge Adam banner & display of CDs! ) ) As I brought it to the cashier to pay she pointed out some specially priced CDs on display at the cash, in case we wanted something else. They were all older albums by other artists at cut rate prices, and I mentioned that no, I had most of what I wanted from those albums in digital form. And then I said, jokingly, does anyone buy CDs anymore anyway? And she answered "actually, you'd be surprised. We sell more CDs than movies, and often it's the younger kids who want the CDs because they don't have the right accounts to buy the digital stuff." That surprised me. I can't say if she's wrong, or if this is just a unique phenomenon to this store or what, but intriguing!

Direct to consumer sales (Amazon, iTunes, MyPlay, and so on) must be shipped with an expected delivery date of Sunday 6.21.15 to count this week. IF YOU GOT THE DELAY NOTE, PLEASE AUTHORIZE THE SPLIT SHIPMENT. IF YOU GOT THE DOWNLOAD OPTION NOTE, DOWNLOAD IT. IF YOU HAVE ANY iTUNES ORDERS THAT ARE NOT DOWNLOADED, THEY MUST BE DOWNLOAD TO COUNT AS SALES FOR THE BILLBOARD CHART. (This includes gift!! Make sure they are downloaded or give them to someone else.)

I think sometimes as fans it's easy to get sucked into the feeling that somehow we are the ones responsible for Adam's success or failure. We can feel that we didn't do enough if his songs don't get enough spins, sales etc. We can do our part but ultimately the success of TOH is the responsibility of WBR, Adam and his team. Being an Adam fan should be an enjoyable journey and not a contest where we feel we lost if Adam is not at the tops of radio and sales charts. I think some of us fans are more stressed than Adam. He is radiating happiness about this album. I think he would want us to enjoy it with him not be panicked about numbers.
