For all I know this might be the best method to throw away your streams. Or it might be the most brilliant invention ever until Spotify stops it. Maybe throw the band that invented it some streams too, btw. It really is a clever way to get more attention for their music. While this may count for revenue payment what indication is there that it will count in Billboard? Gaming Spotify....somehow I don't think that will end well. For me, not going there. |

I'm sticking with spotify.. i'm paying for it and I plan to use it, LOL ;)it worked well the first time for Adam.. Hope for more weeks at top of BB200 for our guy... i'm skeered &in the scheme of things, adding an unknown , may only be worth a couple of hundred dollars for Adam, if lucky..IMHO the whole payment for artists has to be addressed and revamped..now I love Taylor Swift |

I liked Taylor's letter to Apple, and was pleased that Apple responded so quickly and positively. But then I read the letter from the photographer who says Taylor doesn't pay for their work, expects to use their photos for free in perpetuity! So she doesn't practice what she preaches?

Eternify is probably in violation of Spotify's terms of service (modification of an audio stream to create audio loops is not permitted) and so I expect it to be shut down soon. However, researching this got me to discover that it is possible to MUTE individual tabs in Google Chrome, either through Chrome's own hidden option or by installing the extension called MuteTab. I just enabled Chrome's hidden option (see instructions at this link) and I am happy to report that it works and is indeed very useful! You have to click again to un-mute. I am on Chrome with no MuteTab installed. MAy be it's the same on FireFox... Logically this should be against some Spotify legal clause, but I don't see any harm in running this in parallel to legit streaming until they've shut it down.  HUGE YAY FOR THE WEEK ONE RESULTS! Now we need to keep it going until radio get's into gear and to the magical 10 Mil AIs...  I turned the sound on my computer back up to 100% and tapped the Ghost Town picture. It muted and the counter is still running. Yay! Thank you!!!!!  |
