I just called, Adam will be appearing on July 18th It's through IHeart So, guess no tics thru the FanClub at this late notice. Wonder if this is say 6 songs or maybe he'll do more from TOH. Shoot......it's so soon and so far away and so expensive....LOL Has anyone gone to the fan club website recently (adamlambertfans.com)? I hadn't been there in ages, so I just went to the home page, and it is still showing Trespassing (no mention of TOH) and an announcement of the pre-sale for the QAL tour last summer. So it looks like it hasn't been updated in over a year. Should we assume that it is a dead site at this point? It really seems like a #GhostTown.

I guess there are some labels that hang on almost forever....I mean think of Paul McCartney...who writes more than a sentence about him without mentioning the Beatles...yet the British invasion and most of the world's knowledge of them began around 1964 and the Beatles broke up in 1970...so well under a decade, even if you count their UK popularity .... he will never shake that descriptor. Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, and Amy Winehouse are rarely identifies without a label of how they died...somethings just don't disappear...perhaps that is Adam's albatross...that and 'GAY'...actually, GAY is disappearing faster than IDOL. who'd a thunk...

Perhaps a little....but the difference is that I am assuming those pictures are of her. She is claiming their use as partial owner because she is the subject. When apple is using an artists music and not paying, they cannot claim the same connection at all. I think the situations are quite different...the photographers still have the 'use value' for them self...the 'royalty' as it were. Apple was not giving that to the artists and therein lies the difference. As far as I can tell..... eta...exactly 4ms...I wrote this before seeing your post. And think about it...Taylor is the only reason these pics have any monetary value!! wtf...I do not see what leg these photographers think they have to stand on... But didn't the photographer say it was in her contracts, therefore these are photographers hired to take her pictures, but they won't receive compensation if she uses them? I don't think he is Paparazzi, who take pics on pure speculation. But what do I know?I'm not sure exactly how Apple's music service will work, but my understanding was that they agreed to pay the artists something like 70% of the profits, not a certain amount per spin (which I understand for Spotify, etc., is much less than 70% of the profits) ... that's why Taylor said Apple was going to be doing it right ... but for the first 3 months there won't be any profit if everything is free to the users, which is why Apple wouldn't have paid ... but kudos to Apple for agreeing to pay above and beyond what their contracts with the music providers (labels?) were ... Hi Just Karen--nice to see you posting. You are correct about what the photographers have said. Here is The Washington Post's latest on the issue--photographers contracts included. The photographers get NO USE of the photos for their own use (portfolios, etc.) and it's pretty restrictive. I totally see a comparison with Apple's actions. www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/style-blog/wp/2015/06/23/is-taylor-swift-a-hero-or-a-hypocrite-some-photographers-say-its-the-latter/

I liked Taylor's letter to Apple, and was pleased that Apple responded so quickly and positively. But then I read the letter from the photographer who says Taylor doesn't pay for their work, expects to use their photos for free in perpetuity! So she doesn't practice what she preaches? Ya, couldn't believe she took Apple to task but does the same thing. Not good!!!!!!!!!!!!

AWESOME! Considering he was up against an American icon who hadn't released anything in a decade and The Swift... I'd say BIG win Now keep streaming! We don't want a huge fall-off next week EDIT: So what was the tweet from Warner Promo about at the top of this page? Where are they getting #2? He was the #2 debut for this week. Swift is not a debut week. She has been on there forever. (too long.heh) Adam wasn't just the #2 debut, he was #2 on the overall album sales chart (Taylor Swift was #4). ETA: He was #3 on the Billboard 200 (which includes sales + streaming and track sales).

Official youtube from AOL Build. Taped June 17, 2015. Adam Lambert on His New Album 'The Original High' AOL BUILD www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lt8CV-ONpE&feature=youtu.bePublished on Jun 24, 2015 With his incredible vocal range, Adam Lambert stepped into the spotlight in 2009 on American Idol and hasn’t left it since. His first two albums were Billboard chart-toppers and he was a Grammy Award-nominee for his mega-hit “Whataya Want From Me.” He’s just released a new album, The Original High, and the first single, “Ghost Town” is already a summer hit. Interview at AOL HQ in NYC for AOL BUILD. Thankyou, Wal. I really wish that every interviewer was made to sit down and listen to every interview an artist has done in the last month - 6 weeks, and then research new questions. It gets so dull after a while...Adam's a lot more interesting than that. Everything in this interview is already well documented. The best questions came from the audience...
