Here is the direct source for the 99.5 takeover 6pm EST. abt 1&1/2 hrs from now. Graciejane...I agree with you...but here is another rub. I see conversations re the options for posting tweets and frankly, however it is that you and a few others do it ...most of the time, these posts show up as blanks. Even refreshing does not always bring them up. I refreshed your post above and it never showed anything but your comment. Not sure if it will show as I reply or not..it does not show up in my reply box. We cannot follow links that are posted this way as they don't show up. When ever someone posts confusion or frustration re this, the reply is to just refresh or figure it out...shrug...sorry...
I am out of country and generally have to use the alternative methods anyway...which is frustrating enough ....grrrr....
I have no idea why tweets don't show in the current pro boards format but it is what it is. Instagrams don't always show either...fwiw...but refreshing generally works on them...or just clicking on them. Nothing seems to work on the tweets, often, sadly.
eta...no the original still does not show up...no link to find or follow...grr to the arbitrary italics format too...don't know what I accidentally hit to get that lol
ETA2....woah...the tweet just showed up...did you change the original or does it just take my system 15 minutes or so to load up???wtf...graciejane??
eta3 [lol] it disappeared again...so really must just take forever to load...huh...other stuff doesn't and I have high speed internet... |

Going on a slight rant. This streaming everything without giving information on actual source is really getting annoying. It is great for those that cannot access but is really counterproductive to those that could access and give timely feedback to the station. Mix 106.5 twitter is: @mix1065fm fb above I agree. I was late tuning into the last interview..missed the first portion where they played GT and had no idea which station he was on....didn't see it listed on the streaming site. I just saw a link on Twitter to that Mixlr thing. Once I figured out where he was I changed over to their station direct. The streaming I guess is intended for the out of the country listeners. So I apologize for posting that Glambertparty thing in a hurry. We always should listen to the station direct if we're able to. My apologies as well, my rant was not directed at you or anyone else that brings info over. Without your post many of us would have missed out entirely. My peeve is more broad in that along with the streamer posting her link the source could be openly disclosed as well. The streams are appreciated but the stations need feedback. |

OK...I don't know or understand this all, and every interest has its position...BUT...are the photographers being hired/paid for this gig, or not. If they are, this is similar to...for example...creating lesson plans and course curricula at a University [don't know at a public school]. Most universities reserve full ownership of lesson plans and curricula, even from sessional instructors...and often hand over to a new instructor for their use, if so wished. The instructor may re-create the schedule for another school but it is not sanctioned and I don't know what would happen if another school decided to push the issue. Their point is that you are/were paid to create the program and it belongs to the one that paid for it.... Is this a legitimate analogy? IF they were not paid for their labour that is a different issue...it is complicated and I don't know enough to comment, perhaps... eta...this is especially true for online courses .... new or additional instructors are often brought in and 'handed' a course already loaded and organized...the the new instructor adds new stuff or not, at his or her discretion. The original instructor was generally paid a flat amount to create the course and that is it...belongs to the school in perpetuity. I know...I created such a course and I think it is still being used...I got cut out when the University decided to eliminate all 'foreign' instructors. The photographers are NOT being hired. These are the guys that are at QAL for the first 20 minutes and take pics of the show. Then use the pics for the reviews. She is saying that is ALL they can use the pics for and can not resell them for future use. |

I got interested in this whole line of thought and so read the restrictive contract mentioned above with someone currently preparing for the bar. The contract says with some paraphrasing: We sort of took this contract to be the kind that, say, Rolling Stone would sign to send a photographer to a concert, hence all the fill-in spaces above and the compensation that the photographer receives is between the publication and the photographer. |

It is a slow load issue. I too have high internet speed and have the same issue from time to time.
