I think we would have new single by end of july. I hope it is ALN. HAC stations will love it ! I think the second single will be TOH and I hope that CHR/Top 40 Stations will love it. I would be very happy, however, to hear ALN pouring out of my radio!! (I love the moo, and it is a moo!) |

Early today there was a post about streaming using Eternify 30 second loop method. It was put together by a band to protest the low streaming media royalty rates. More info: www.theverge.com/2015/6/23/8830029/eternify-spotify-loop-paymentsBillboard does not disclose what they count as a song stream but I think this partial play scheme is very risky. Spotify is not very careful about how they count plays (although they will plug this gap) because of their strange royalty payment method. Billboard is part of Nielsen Media who has one of the most sophisticated systems for detecting anomalies in purchasing and media consumption. This will not fool Nielsen and they will not let it affect their charts. >> In the past, when something strange has shown up in the Billboard charts, they immediately make the needed changes. So, do you think that all of the plays from looping GT all day long on Spotify, Amazon Prime, or other streaming service will be counted? Yes, as long as they are audio and full plays I am sure they counted. I don't think Billboard will count partial plays -- particularly since they clearly know about this. Spotify has stopped several other tricks and they will eventually do something about this. YouTube solved it in a simple way, they only count full plays. Spotify captures play start and end time to calculate duration -- so they can easily report full plays. |

I think the next single will be TOH. There is not one iota of a "y" sound. It is a moo. Adam can say whatever he wants but I know what I hear....haha! Has Ghost Town peaked on CHR/40? ...and yes, I think they'll go with TOH for the next single also.  |
