WarnerBrosPromo @warnerbrospromo 16s16 seconds ago Congrats @adamlambert! "The Original High" debuts #2 on the US Album chart! goo.gl/agwgh8 #Glamberts Are we happy about this? It's quiet here. Is this just for iTunes or has Billboard reported in?

www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/6605803/james-taylor-first-no-1-album-billboard-200Although Taylor lacked a No. 1 album until this week, he has earned a chart-topping single on the Billboard Hot 100: "You've Got a Friend." The tune topped the Hot 100 for one week on July 31, 1971. It's one of 21 Hot 100 hits for the singer. Back on the new Billboard 200, Taylor Swift’s 1989 holds at No. 2 for another week, moving 57,000 units (down 11 percent) in its 34th week on the list. Adam Lambert notches the chart’s second-highest bow, as his third album The Original High arrives at No. 3 with 47,000 units. The Original High is Lambert’s first album for Warner Bros. Records after departing RCA Records, where he logged his two earlier top 10s: His For Your Entertainment debut in 2009 (No. 3 debut and peak) and its follow-up, the No. 1-bowing Trespassing in 2012. The new album’s first week was powered by pure album sales, as it sold 42,000 copies. Comparably, For Your Entertainment bowed with 77,000 sold. The Original High’s lead single, “Ghosttown,” is No. 31 on the Pop Songs airplay chart dated July 4.

YAY!!!!
It's official ... NO 3.
As anyone who has ever competed knows, no. 3 is infinitely better than no. 4 (participation ribbon anyone?) and no. 2 is often viewed as someone who was just not quite first. Third is a hard fought and excellent win.
Congratulations Adam.

Man, James Taylor sold a shitload of albums... congratulations to him.

I'm sure he and his team are happy......now, the important thing is sustained sales - he needs GhostTown to take off! edit/ Just started running that eternity app thing in Chrome...I've made Adam 24 cents! haha! Lord, no wonder artists are unhappy with the streaming revenues....have no idea if this is legit.

AWESOME! Considering he was up against an American icon who hadn't released anything in a decade and The Swift... I'd say BIG win Now keep streaming! We don't want a huge fall-off next week EDIT: So what was the tweet from Warner Promo about at the top of this page? Where are they getting #2?
