This weeks numbers posted on mj's Chart Date Wk TW Sales LW Sales % Total Sales Track Sales Streaming Total Activity % 2015-07-04 1 41,781 84SV ----- 41,781 47,433 2015-07-11 2 9,794 41,781 -76.5 51,659 25,213 1,735,270 13,471 -71
As far as I understand a drop of 71% total is a "normal" drop for week 2. Let's hope radio AI will get to the point where there is sales effect sooner than later... 71% is pretty typical. Radio typically drives track sales, video views and streaming media plays -- but has limited effect on album sales. Touring and high-profile performances will drive album sales.

Those album numbers appear to be the HDD numbers?! Questioning if Last week's GT might be a Typo and should be 33K. How can it be almost the same as this week when the previous week it hung out in the 30s and 40s, but this week was in the 80s or higher? IDGI No they are the SS numbers from girly girl at mj's. The reason has more to do with the clean version. Before album drop the clean version was down in the 500's overall. It got almost into the top 200 overall on release day (along with the standard explicit version) but dropped back down to the 300's within a day. BUT it stayed in the 300's ever since. The 3rd version dropped out of the top 1500 by the weekend. But clearly having that second version stay in the top 300-400 consistently had to have helped keep the sales up. It is still up there at #342 today so even though the leading track is dropping that one is a little more stable. Maybe that is radio effect. Plus I haven't been tracking any rankings for the digital tracks on Amazon or anywhere else and there are other places to buy tracks besides iTunes. But release week of TOH there was 5700 added on to sales as streams/tracks. If GT sales were only 24K, that equals 2400 in tracks. Doesn't 3300 seem awfully high for the rest of the tracks + streams? I know she said it is SS & i believe her, but 33K for GTthat week seems more logical and is totally in line with the KWORB prediction of 30K.,

I know she said it is SS & i believe her, but 33K for GTthat week seems more logical and is totally in line with the KWORB prediction of 30K., It can't be a typo because then the sales totals would be off and they aren't. This weeks streaming accounts for 1156 in SEA so if you assume streaming release week was 1000 then that lease 2300 for the other tracks. There were as many as eight other songs that landed in the top 1500 on release week and one that made it all the way to the top 200 thru the end of the week. Given that at a couple of points some of those songs were still in the top 200 in pop even though they were off the top 1500 and the there are three potential sales copies of each of those tracks I can easily see the total of all the others combined being enough to account for that. At any rate it is highly unlikely that there would be an error of exactly the same amount in both the track total and the sales total. I've seen errors in numbers before but they don't behave like this. They can usually be caught by crosschecking the totals. ETA: Also don't forget that people who completed the album during release week would cause previous GT sales to be subtracted so that could also account for why GT's sales were less than Kworb's estimate. His estimates are done based on pop bars and we don't know if those subtractions are reflected in the pop bars or chart position of the song. I would think it likely that it is a correcting adjustment made when the numbers are compiled for soundscan and not reflected in pop bars or chart position.

I little while ago I decided to compile a list of the top ranked stations in the top 10 markets for the 3 formats GT is being spun in. Here is a report on the top ranked top40 stations in each of the top 10 markets. I am happy to report that ALL of these stations have spun the song. If it says not on playlist that means it wasn't in the top 50 7-day chart on All Access. Remember that the website positions are volitile because these are listed in the order most recently played.
Market Playlist Rank Position Spins Station/Market LW TW Artist Title TW LW Move AUD 1 Z100 NY 37 23 ADAM LAMBERT Ghost Town 23 17 6 0.7043 2 KIIS LA 26 26 ADAM LAMBERT Ghost Town 25 24 1 0.7105 3 WKSC Chicago 23 29 ADAM LAMBERT Ghost Town 24 27 -3 0.4173 4 KMVQ San Fran 37 35 ADAM LAMBERT Ghost Town 20 18 2 0.1733 5 KHKS Dallas Not on playlist (#29 on station website) 6 KKHH Houston 25 25 ADAM LAMBERT Ghost Town 29 28 1 0.2532 7 WRQX Wash, DC 97 49 ADAM LAMBERT Ghost Town 8 2 6 0.0112 CUMULUS STATION!!!!! 8 Q102 Philly 31 23 ADAM LAMBERT Ghost Town 25 16 9 0.3333 9 WWPW Atlanta Not on playlist (#25 on station website) 10 WXKS Boston Playlist not available (#68 on station website)
Make particular note of DC because this MIGHT be an indication that the Cumulus block will add the song.
ETA: Added more header information.

The plays are the right-hand TW/LW columns - all increases. So it's a good thing!

Correct, there was only one decrease in Chicago and being only 3 spins I consider that a minor correction. The numbers to the right are the spins/move/audience. Didn't think I had to label that as this is the standard All Access format. Will go back and make that more clear.
