An admitted newbie, I would love to get input on the position game of GT. on one order of reality clearly GT is steadily gaining spins and AI and on the other, it reminds me of a jellyfish riding the waves sometimes up and sometimes a little down and seemingly just maintaining its position while other creatures pass it by going up quicker and down quicker. What has to happen to have more momentum?or is this just the slow ride people are talking about? Long time in a position then going up one or two. CHR is like this and now HAC. AC seems to have good momentum

AC seems to have good momentum It's just how the charts work. Not everybody rises or falls at the same rate so chart position depends not only on your progress but that of the other songs around you. It could be that they've been waiting for call outs before seeing whether they will push the song further, but I really don't know. I just looked at the rate the music page again on All Access and it's finally showing up there. I don't know when I looked last but it wasn't on there then. It seems to be ranking fairly high so hopefully that will help but I really know nothing about what those ratings mean and how much they might impact the song. So far Ghost Town has been slow but fairly steady. The thing is we don't know if WB is having to push hard to get this or if it's just coasting and they will push a little later. We don't know what the behind the scenes feeling about the song is so all we can go by is the fact that Adam seems very relaxed and happy and Shoshanna seems pleased. There is little use worrying about it and all we can do is enjoy the song, thank the dj's when they play it, participate in our stations games and watch what happens. I don't think anything we can do will affect the songs momentum. If Spotify keeps building and shazam indicates people are responding to the song then hopefully that will help but tracking the numbers and progress is more about just following along than it is about having any effect on the charts. The industry is pretty good at keeping hardcore fans from gaming the system so there really aren't any tricks to be played. ETA: Just read a bit more about the Rate the Music thing on All Access and this looks like a situation where hardcore fans trying to game the system could actually hurt. It says that it is usually an indicator of what traditional call out research will show but if fans game the system as we know they have tried to do it can actually skew things and if radio has determined that the Glamberts have spammed rate the music in the past they will more than likely ignore it and wait for their own call out research.

Nothng went recurrent on either chart! Official Published! On HAC Budapest went recurrent because it was out of the top 10. If it hadn't GT would have been at 19 like it was this morning because Cheerleader had passed it.

Here are the corrected figures for POP & HAC. Pop may have increased spins from last week still but it decreased from the morning report by 4 spins. HAC increased spins from the morning report putting it even with yesterday but an increase from last week.
Cheerleader had passed GT this morning on HAC putting GT at #19 but Budapest was pulled so it is back to #18.

Seems like CHR has some songs falling. Maybe some move up next week but I have learned to be wary of the ones rising up suddenly from the deep. I am pleased to say I requested GT on 93.7 Miami (when prompted) three times (once a day) and it was played each time.
