Fans need to pick up the pace
I rec'd notice about another VEvo artist (Meghan Trainer - Dear Future Husband) who now reached 100M ...Has any other Adam's YT's past reached that point? NO we need to start spinning the shit out of GT
after two months, he only at 30 on POP He's done promo, hit some stations, etc. yet only a few are spinning... the new some of Gomez which is shit (sounds like she has mash potatoes in her mouth) is already at the 6 place rotation.at my radio station.. and on the Kworb song chart she at position 3 after two weeks Adam is sitting at 31 after 70 days Somehow he needs to get more sales
Where is the single GT placement on iTunes? 103 I know his AI is aprox 8.4 you say he needs AI 10? At this slow pace from POP, will he get there within a reasonable amt of time???
we have to make another extra effort...keep requesting this is going to be a tough climb..IDK having a downer today... I think I'm impatient
ps I went shopping today, checked out Target to see how the CD's were stocked...Lots of JT, lots of Hillary and 10 of TOH..I bought 2 for next week sales..lol

#30 on Pop in 2 months is actually VERY good, crazyoldgal! It's just the constant up & down the past week that is frustrating!
But really, streaming and track sales are very important for album numbers. You Tube views is very important for single numbers.
So stream, view YT, gift Ghost Town (if you can.) 10 tracks = an album.

By all means request reasonably from your local station and play their games but probably the biggest thing you can do is simply share and talk about his music to people in your life in a natural way and not trying to browbeat people in to listening. Shazams and sharing on twitter, facebook and on whatever streaming platforms you are using. Expanding his fan base is what is important. Stop trying to be responsible for his success or failure. Over invested fans trying too hard to make other people like their favs often end up turning people off. Being a fan should be fun and enjoyable and if you are constantly stressing out over how much you or others are or aren't doing then you are not having fun. Enjoy the music, listen to it often and share your joy naturally with those around you. THAT is the best thing you can do to promote Adam. Adam is not going to get to the next level based on what his core fans are doing. He'll get there based on how the general public responds to him. ETA: There are 164 CHR stations and 93 HAC stations (at least) spinning GT so I don't know where you get the idea that only a few are spinning. |

I think we all need to breathe. GT had a great day yesterday on HAC with Cumulus adding. Obviously the experiment as to whether Cumulus CHR would also come on didn't go the way we wanted. In HAC GT is in the top 20 solidly at 18. This is great news and I am sure it will continue moving up.
CHR is frustrating. No question about it. Every time it looks like space is opening above with songs dropping, GT has anemic spins and other songs pass it so it just has been stuck. There was an interesting post earlier today that this fate is befalling a number of songs around GT. That part of the chart seems stuck but to me, they are still passing. I am not talking about Selena et.al. either.
So we do what we can. I hope the buzz on HAC is contagious but I recognize Top 40 is a law unto itself. Don't know what the formula is at this point to get GT over this hump but I do know anxiety is not a good route.
We had a great dance party with around 14 Glamberts here in South Florida. Just danced and sang and ate. It was very cathartic.
Adam is happy. There is a plan. If GT stalls, something will be done. It is doing SO WELL around the world. Looking forward to the Japan numbers. He is a worldwide superstar. HAC is onboard. He is even moving up AC pretty quickly. The boy wants to be a pop star. What to do? Just love him.

Spotify chart and BB Hot 100 is not the same. Spotify is what people are streaming on Spotify. BB counts audio streaming, YT, sales, and radio numbers. So is the Billboard Hot 100 playlist on Spotify not related to the Billboard Hot 100 chart then? csquared you are right, patti's got numbers on the brain lol. But yes, the Billboard Hot 100 playlist player.spotify.com/user/billboard.com/playlist/6UeSakyzhiEt4NB3UAd6NQ inside of Spotify and curated by Billboard, specifically says that it is the "official Billboard Hot 100" but you'll note that all the songs were added 7 days ago so it looks like they are due to update tomorrow. Let's check back then and see if Ghost Town gets on there. Now it does have 1,686,244 followers but I had to search specifically for Billboard so it seems hard to find. I'm betting our increase in plays is coming from the "Today's Top Hits" playlist which is the first playlist you find when you browse POP playlists. player.spotify.com/genre/pop It has 5,544,488 followers and just has 50 songs so a lot better repeat factor. This list was updated just 4 days ago and is curated by Spotify. |

Look comparing to Trainor is obsurd. Her fanbase is huge, her music has gone viral, and she is huge right now. Adams fanbase is simply not strong enough, or big enough to get 100 m views on YT. Adams potential is a multi platnum selling arena artist. He is not the type of artist who is going to get 100 m numbers. Especially not with Adams hardcore fans, that is unrealistic. Especially seeing he has been out of the game for 5 years lol, just saying. I see TOH has dropped down about 705. But because of Streaming its maintained Top 50 at #39, that is good.

Yes. Those two charts should be the same IMO, but maybe Billboard is a week behind in Spotify. We'll know when they update. For next week streaming will be some better then maybe. What I was referencing to was not the Spotify top 100, but the BB Hot 100 list on Spotify posted by BB themselves. This IMO should reflect the current Hot 100 chart, but it didn't. Maybe they adjust it today (since the list on Spotify was 7 days old). In The Netherlands all our charts have lists they post on Spotify and they adjust that right after the new chart is available so people can stream that playlist. It really helps for the amount of streams. GT did only enter the Top 50 on Spotify in the Netherlands after it was charted on those charts. Those Dutch lists on Spotify have all around 60k followers. GT now has 68k streams/day here. The US however isn't into Spotify that much. If you compare the amount of streams the top is streamed compared to the # of inhabitants between the US and The Netherlands we stream a lot more. |
