Tech - Question: Has anyone upgraded to windows 10?? I have 8.1 and can download windows 10 for free. Just curious if anyone has had any issues or if it makes that much different. If anyone has had experience with this, post in the "How To" thread and I will go there for the information. All that is available right now is the BETA Windows 10.0 -- they want people to use it and report the bugs. Unless you like to do free testing for Microsoft and/or want to develop apps, games, etc for the W10 release and have a computer you can put it on where it would be OK if everything doesn't work, do not do it. Wait for the real release. The guy at the computer store told me that when I bought my son a new computer last week. He said wait until things get worked out in it and we have until, I think, 2020 until we have to DL. |

For Grammy nomination speculators -- and I know we have a few here -- just a thought. The biggest challenge for Adam getting a Grammy nomination is that he is in the most crowded, most competitive genre (pop) and the one genre where commercial success (big sales) is strongly correlated to nominations. There are only 2 pop vocal categories for solo artists: Best Pop Solo Performance (single) Best Pop Vocal Album BUT....since TOH (single) is a dance track, and even Billboard says so, Best Dance Recording is something he might have a shot at.  Didn't SS received like gazillion Grammies? What categories was he in? (I know I can Google...) The Best Nazal Singing?Yes, and one of the top selling albums in the world last Grammy year. Taylor Swift will be in that position for the 2016 Grammys. |

Billy Idol sure does sound like and has the look of Bowie. Bowie was on the music scene before Idol right? Bowie was before Billy Idol. This Billy Idol video was September 24, 1982. Billy Idol goes back to 1977 with Generation X -- he had the blond hair and a more puck look/attitude in 1977. Bowie had a similar look during his Thin White Duke era in 1976. |

I sooooooo need a cold winter morning right now.  I'm falling into what feels like a permanently apathetic heat coma.  Everyone here is hanging out in the grocery store as it is cool and air conditioned. I just got home from there and now have one of those gell cooling pads that are supposed to cool you off by sucking the heat out of you, and never require chilling....out of the fridge and tied around my neck with another gel cooling thingy meant to go around the neck. And I am still hot...feet swollen...fingers...face is red....sigh...I live in a temperate rain forest for a reason, ffs.... A water-mister and fans ....   Texas life support kit for when the AC goes out. |
