Playing devil's advocate again but I'm sure that with Adam's new relationship, he no longer needs his friends like he used to. The comment about the mother's day buffet with mom, the Cherrys & Bloody Mary's indicates that he just doesn't want to hang with them like he used to...And with all indication from Lisa who made comments before about not being included in things like they used to, him not coming to the house, etc., they probably already knew that he was doing these gigs without the band & the 2nd album. Plus his not coming to Monte's gigs must of been the frosting on the cake for her. I'm just praying that the hunting nasty wasn't directed at Lisa, that would be unforgivable to Monte. I really hope I'm totally wrong about this, the GNT wouldn't have been the same without all the hard work of all the troupe! You don't NEED your friends you CHOOSE to spend time with them. Adam spends lots of time with his friends but those of you who are young and single and living life in a YEEHAW way as Adam is right now, how much time to you spend with your married friends who have 4 kids and a busy schedule themselves. Even my sister complains that I don't see them enough but with work and not much free time I don't always choose to go there and talk about mortgages, kids's playdates, and which of their friends are getting divorced. I do see them quite a bit, esp at picnics, family things, etc, and I take the kids once a month on an outing, but they are not my social life. |

Wow, I don't know if I've actually seen this particular one before. I've seen others but from different angles I think. Could be wrong tho.  I was one of the cool jocks in high school - surprise guys, you were showering with a gay guy - and I would definitely have dated blonde Adam. I wouldn't have been brave enough to ask him out because I was so far back in the closet, but I would have at least lusted after him. I'm puzzled by his hs insecurities. Adam gained weight his senior year. He looks chunky in some of his childhood pics, too. The weight, skin problems and feeling diff because he's gay are plenty of issues for a kid or an adult.   |

I would love a return to a more natural hair color (not platinum) for two reasons- first the maintenance on that drastic a change has got to be a nightmare. With the paps following every move and fans dissecting every little thing, roots are probably avoided at all costs.
Pain in the ass, can I hear an amen!
Second reason is sure to be an unpopular opinion, but for me an appearance as altered as his could conceivably represent a mask that was put in place to hide ones true self or to bolster self confidence. A persona can allow one to behave as one would not as themselves for a hundred reasons.
Not saying that is the case with Adam or anyone who colors their hair, but I would find his being secure enough in his Opie ginger self to go all rockstar au naturel to be unbearably sexy. I would assume that it could be incredibly freeing for him as well.
I don't expect it to happen at this point but do look forward to it sometime in the future- he's been maintaining that color for some time now and it has to be getting old.
As I said I am not armchair psychologizing, just musing.
Changing one's appearance can be tons of fun and sometimes it's not that deep.
But other times it is 8-)

hooplaHow does Tommy fit in Adam Tour #2, if Adam is still with Sauli? Because I'm spamming before I go to work it is really difficult not to come up with a totally inappropriate answer for this question. But I'll refrain even if a laugh or a lecture to behave myself would maybe diffuse what's turning into a stressful situation. For the fans more than the principals probably. |

I'm sure business is business, but it doesn't hurt old friends any less when people move along! I'm sure dreams were shared, but sometimes it doesn't work out. Adam must move along, but I didn't mean that he ever needed them business wise, this man could work with anyone he chooses! I mean real friendships, the friends that knew him before he became ADAM! He might regret losing his old friends, just hope everyone can work it out without slashing & burning! I have friends I used to hang out with almost every day who I now see once a year, one who I see once every 4 or 5 years. When I do see these friends, it is as if it was yesterday that we were together. It's what happens when you are grown up and your life takes you in different directions. Did't you ever whine in hs or college that someone didn't have time for you now that they had a girlfriend/boyfriend, new interest, etc, etc? If you say you didn't I don't believe you. I'm a guy, really girls, I'm a cool guy, not a whiny guy, but I know I felt that way. Relationships change but it doesn't mean you are burning bridges. Arrrgghhh. I must shut up and get dressed for work - ha, that's a bathing suit so I can stay a little longer. And on the Tommy fan service thing, I think Adam has moved on from that, you know less rhinestones more leather mentality, and if he does do it once or twice it will be with a wink and a nod to the audience saying, "Remember this? Fun, right?" |

I am clearly missing the point- Tommy fits into era 2 the same as he did era 1- as a bass player and accomplice in onstage antics. No more no less. Sauli is irrelevant in this regard. |

When single people have no else to hang with they're at your front door...when a new relationship or something more exciting is going on they try to fit you in their schedule. I know because my son sent me an email telling us when he & his boyfriend are available this summer since they got a time share on Fire Island! He also told me he's flying home for a weekend because he has a wedding to go to, not if his bedroom is still available....so I know exactly what I'm talking about because of experience. |
