I love that so many boys/men seem to be on the Adam train this time around....seems the younger gay guys have really embraced Adam and his music for TOH era.

I'm really missing the QAL concerts. Couldn't pass up seeing the Rolling Stones who came to Raleigh, NC last night. It was a sold-out arena concert of 40,000. Cheapest ticket was $150. The band was really, really sloppy and the sound throughout the arena was terrible. Guitar solos were boring and it seemed like most songs were in the same 3 chords. The hits got everyone standing - and they can rock it!. But the B side songs had people sitting and chatting. Lisa Fischer, one of the backup singers was her usual outstanding self but her mike wasn't turned up enough. The concert review in the Raleigh News & Observer was "sloppy but satisfying". That's about right. I can't go to Rio or South America right now. But I really miss the musicality and professionalism of Queen + Adam Lambert. Now THAT was a satisfying concert! I'll never regret spending $$ to follow them around Europe earlier this year. The Rolling Stones concert at The Ohio State Stadium in June had a crowd close to 45,000 but it was not sold out. It was the first time OSU sold alcohol and I think tickets were given out free to inflate the crowd. I have 2 friends who were ushers and one was in A deck and one was in B deck. They told me they saw tickets that had zero cost and the usher in A deck (closer to floor) actually showed me a ticket left behind at the end that showed zero cost. They also said they saw tickets in the same row that showed $20 and $40 cost. After being at a Queen concert I am spoiled for any other concerts. The Rolling Stones managed to have 4 of the ugliest men on stage. Mick Jagger had a lot of energy especially in the beginning but it appeared he was lip syncing on some of the songs. Keith Richards smile is one redeeming feature. The ushers told me that NO ONE was allowed in the stadium during their sound check which leads me to further suspect the possible lip synching. i also attended the 2-day Country Fest concert at The Ohio Stadium in June and again was disappointed. Blake Shelton held the crowd to the very end on the first day but Kenny Chesney was not able to do the same on the second day. Blake and Kenny were the last acts each day. The ticket price for the floor around the Golden Horseshoe was $254 and $99 for A deck. However, concert goer's were charged more through Ticketmaster. There were a lot more drunks at the country concerts than at the Rolling Stones. Rolling Stones was a much older crowd. AGAIN, ADAM HAS ME SPOILED AND THE QUEEN CONCERTS WERE THE BEST I'VE EVER ATTENDED!!!

AGAIN, ADAM HAS ME SPOILED AND THE QUEEN CONCERTS WERE THE BEST I'VE EVER ATTENDED!!! The Stones need to retire. They have enough money. They were once an excellent live act but that was literally 50 years ago. Most of the rock and alt rock concerts I have seen in the past few years have been disappointing. I recently saw Imagine Dragons at Quicken Loans Arena (Cleveland) not sold out, not very good. Bastille at E.J. Thomas Hall (Akron, mid-sized venue, sold out but a university concert) in 2014 were OK. The best I've seen lately was My Morning Jacket who played the State Theatre (Cleveland, sold out) -- very loud but excellent. The last big rock show (excluding Q+AL) that I enjoyed was Muse in Columbus -- Schottenstein Center, Columbus, Ohio in 2013 -- and they were quite good. But I saw them again in 2013 and it was meh. >> I have really enjoyed some of the big pop tours -- Pink and Katy Perry both were great shows. Excluding Adam, I do not have one concert planned right now. First time in decades that I was a "ticketless" waif. I really am not interested in most of the revival tours and tickets are so expensive it is hard to justify seeing someone who has one song I like.

Just watched the backstage MMVA video. Adam is so cute...'oh damn!'....anyone besides me think that 'oh, damn' would make a good hook for a song?
