On the Mediabase pop chart.... GT is still headed up on the Top 40 chart and is stalled on HAC. Not sure if I would say "stalled" on HAC. It's pretty much doing the same thing it was two weeks ago on Top 40 but there we had a negative move on four out of 7 days. This is the first day HAC has ever had a negative move and it hit it's highest audience numbers ever just yesterday. I'm thinking that Friday in through the weekend will provide better numbers as DJs spend less time talking about which 4th of July event to attend and more time playing music. |

I do not think this is a holiday weekend effect, it started before the holiday and has continued since the holiday ended. And a holiday would have affected the entire chart, not just GT. **** In the meantime.....OT but so weird looking I had to post it...Demi Lovato's new single is shooting up the chart -- lw #346 TW #21 Up this week DEMI LOVATO Cool For The Summer Spins TW 4708 lw 4 +4704 Audience Impressions 37.225 millions She had over 150 CHR radio station adds -- one of the biggest add weeks ever And her fans/detractors are worried about it because it is only at #19 on iTunes or it is not moving as fast as it should or the song is.....the amount of whining is unbelievable. Certainly does give one pause for reflection, doesn't it? And also good to know that other fanbases get in angst soup too. As unpleasant as that can be. And not terribly helpful in the long run. I am very happy for Demi...the adds and how her 'Cool For The Summer' is performing. Not that the song is my cuppa, but I have such admiration for her as a person. Plus, she has a heck of a voice, is a super performer. And she supports Adam..shallow, I know..  |
