Buh-bye, James. I hope now the Adam/James comparisons will fade. The similarities were all superficial. Rocker guy. Sings/wails/screeches super high notes. That's about where it ends. I know this is not the Idol thread, but, I was so frustrated and angry with people putting James in the same league with Adam. I could go on for pages with how dissimilar they are, how superior Adam is, and how mediocre James is. IMO, James only made it to Hollywood and into the top ten because of Adam two years ago. The powers that be trying to manufacture Adam 2.0 without having any idea what made Adam so outstanding and unique. James is not terrible. He is just not that good. That seasoned. That well trained. That well controlled. That original. His voice does not have that special something that we all heard the very first notes we heard Adam sing. Before the costumes. Before the make-up. Before the backing band. Before the sexy moves and the seductive eyes. Before the dancing. Before the interviews and the words and the charisma and the smile and the smarts. Before the positive attitude, the generosity, the humility. Before the courage and determination. Before everything we have come to love about Adam, there was "Mama, just killed a man..." and we KNEW we were listening to something heavenly. I think I gotta go watch the audition one more time..... and maybe Ring of Fire and Feeling Good. Your post just makes me SWOON!!! |

TBH, Of all the former Idol contestants, Adam is goint to get the most flack about James being ousted. Is this going to be another gate? Adam did nothing wrong, but I bet there will be an entire hoard of people that will somehow think that almighty Adam caused James to get booted. Hell, Adam didn;t manage to win Idol, so it would be pretty stupid to believe that he could determine the outcome of the idol votes. But almost every wweek, Adam's tweets have been after the voting is over. I woder if he did that intentionally? |

Slooow day, so it's a good time to post this. I've been listening to Sondheim's "Sunday in the Park with George" because I'll be playing in the pit for a production soon. The song "Putting it Together" just reminded me of all our speculation about Adam's #2. Here is a YT of Barbra Streisand's version (slightly altered lyrics) and a link to the printed lyrics. Hi, all.  What's new? I have been out of the loop since the middle of last week due to traveling and RL. I see JD is gone from S10, as it should be cuz I thought he was the weakest performer last night. Also noticed 40 pages last night and only 12 tonight. Will have to go investigate. BBL |

Most of us fell in love with Adam's voice first and then kept finding wonderful qualities that made us love him more and more. That and he's beautiful to look at and soooooo sexy. |
