(((momtomany))) Thinking about you today.  It's amazing what we'll do for animals. I'm taking 2 weeks of leave from work in June to babysit my grandog while my daughter's family goes on vacation. They live across from Peachtree Creek in an old section of Atlanta and their house is raised 10 feet off the ground to avoid flooding. Probably one reason their 13 year old chocolate lab is still a little bit spry is because she has to go up and down the steps to get up into the house many times a day. They're afraid if she stays at the vets for 2 weeks, she'll lose those muscles she's developed to get up those steps and wont be able to do it anymore. How does this relate to Adam? I'll be there with nothing to do but play on the internet with my Adam buddies. ;D Not completely true 'cause some of my RL Bama buddies are gonna stay with me some of that time and we'll be out and about around the ATL but I'll still have plenty of time to stan.

Gelly, "The Goddess of Pics&Vids" thanks for the goodies, I'll have to come back to these later in the day.... I wish James all the best in his endeavours, but he's no match for Adam. Far from it. I'm not trained in music, but I have a decent ear (can't sing in tune....) and James would certainly benefit from vocal coaching (if he'd think he'd needed it....), until then, I'm not able to listen him live, sorry. His recordings are bound to be better, with studio trickery and autotune. Cassie, bringing back something you wrote last night. Wonderful. You said it all. I love you. ================================================ I know this is not the Idol thread, but, I was so frustrated and angry with people putting James in the same league with Adam. I could go on for pages with how dissimilar they are, how superior Adam is, and how mediocre James is. IMO, James only made it to Hollywood and into the top ten because of Adam two years ago. The powers that be trying to manufacture Adam 2.0 without having any idea what made Adam so outstanding and unique. James is not terrible. He is just not that good. That seasoned. That well trained. That well controlled. That original. His voice does not have that special something that we all heard the very first notes we heard Adam sing. Before the costumes. Before the make-up. Before the backing band. Before the sexy moves and the seductive eyes. Before the dancing. Before the interviews and the words and the charisma and the smile and the smarts. Before the positive attitude, the generosity, the humility. Before the courage and determination. Before everything we have come to love about Adam, there was "Mama, just killed a man..." and we KNEW we were listening to something heavenly. K.. thanks.. when is the finale? isn't that like in 2 wks.. wonder if Adam would even be back from Russia.. that would be really cutting things close if they are planning on going to the finale if Haley makes it. |
