The wired mic wouldn't give him much freedom to move around on a big stage...
I thought the lighted shirt was cool! In previous GT performances without dancers, it has seemed to me that something was needed for those parts of the song without any singing, even though Adam does dance some. This helped fill the "empty" space and was a cool metaphor, as someone mentioned, for bullets, in keeping with the old west sort of theme. Loved the OOL intro too!

I don't know if the mic cord is real or not but Adam is having so much fun with it and I love it. It's inconceivable to me that his album has only been out a month and he's put together such a professional looking concert. It blows my mind. Even from the Splashion, it's emerged into this amazing show...it's like a caterpillar emerging from the cocoon to become a beautiful butterfly. LOL as you can tell I loved it. Every single song was perfect and the setlist flowed so smoothly. I loved the hat and hooted about the lit shirt...only Adam. Is the commitment he mentioned til the end of the year doing promos like this? Since I'm not a musician, I didn't quite get what some of you were saying about him having a better band...until now. It really makes a difference. Hope they keep this bass player.

I may be wrong, but I am pretty sure Adam's "wire" is prop. I think the wire is more like a whip and attached to nothing at the end. Wasn't Corden whipping it at him with the end flailing? If that were the case, then Adam would not have kept the cord for the whole set. He would have detached it once it was no longer needed as a prop. I really think the corded mic really is corded. I don't think he makes a lot of money on these radio gigs and they need to do things inexpensively. And we all know the kinds of problems Adam has had in the past with the audio system. His sound guy may have told him that if he wants really good sound on a budget, then he needs to go with a corded mic. Otherwise, he or WBR needs to shell out for a top of the line (rather than middle of the line) wireless mic system and all of the electronics to support it which would be very expensive.

Did anyone get a copy of the band playing while Adam changed. It sounded pretty cool on the stream and I'd love to hear it. I thought the band members must be burning up with those long sleeved jackets on.

Good observation, Dancy...it did appear he didn't signal his sound guy nearly as much as he normally does.
