WOW. So there were definitely some 'holy shit' moments in the show last night. 1. Agreed, that OOL intro to Ghost Town neeeeeeeeeeeeeds to stay! That should be the official live version of GT (with that intro). That was so gorgeous & perfect. 2. I LOVED his version of Wicked Games . Oh my god, I need him to get into a studio STAT & record that so I can play that in my car with the windows down at night. 3. After Hours has been one of my favorites since my first listen & I was so scared that he'd never do it live. I'm SO happy. It's SO sexy. 4.. There I Said It hits HARD live. I already loved the album version, but I think I prefer it live. (Adam tends to do that though) Count me among those who could do without the Curious George hat & the LED shirt. But I'm a big fan of the corded mic (& I do think it's actually wired). And those outfits.... WHEW. Danger!HighVoltage! I love the hat - but then my husband doesn't go out the door without one. And whenever we pass by a hat store, he's drawn in. Last time almost resulted in a top hat. Oh, come on, in the grand scheme of things, the LED shirt was fun. Small show, lots of the faithful. It wasn't feathers and extensions. It got noticed, which was the point. Alright, I wouldn't have thought that TISI could be a single candidate, but after that performance, it could indeed be sold.

Good observation, Dancy...it did appear he didn't signal his sound guy nearly as much as he normally does. I was next to the sound guy. He signaled him a lot!

I've just now had a chance to see some vids of Adam's concert. Blown away. This 'team' has had very little time to work together and I thought the whole set was stellar. Give me Adam in lights, hats, I don't care. This was such a masterful first full set show. I wished I'd been there but YAY for all Atopers who got to go. This was kinda Fantasy Springs'ey..it had that feel to it. Very surreal and sensual. Back to vid watching..I'm still boggled by how they pulled that concert off. Adam inhabited those songs with a swagger and yet a vulnerability that sears. Very clever segues into OOL- GT and TP - AOBTD. Love, love, love everything about this concert. Damn that man can sing and emote. ETA: Don't even get me going about what Adam was doing with 'those eyes'..curled ma toes. Made my day.

I so LOVE, LOVE this performance !!!!!! And not just because "Another one bites the dust" is my favorite Queen song. Looking forward Atoppers recaps!
I also love this performance. And this is the first time that this band on tour. I must say the transition from Trespassing to AOBTD and back to Trespassing is so smooth, if you don't really pay attention you won't realize it. The first beat of the bass of AOBTD that made me realize that they're already into the song. And unlike the bass player on GMA who didn't even want to look at Adam, this one's more relax. I meant I remembered Adam was trying to connect with that bass player few time but he didn't want to look at him, not sure why. So I'm glad he gets new bass player.
Yes, I also noticed the bass player on GMA who didn't connect with Adam. Big improvement!

We love Adam for his creativity, therefore, sometimes you just have to hang on a little tighter as he explores. He really has few rules - "just be kind" and "love a little more" are about it. When he falls in a hole, he hears the comments and sometimes he laughs and pulls back abit, at other times he will keep pushing us to expand. Remember the "rollercoaster"? Well don't buy a ticket if you don't want to take the ride. It is wild, but you will know that you are alive. Love the analogy! And quite a ride it is!!!!!!

Me, too! I love how he is combining these songs in such smooth, effective, innovative ways. The songs complement each other and REALLY hit the mark. Loved the whole show. He was especially sexy! Shades of TOH tour to come, I hope!
