A quick drive through before I have to run again. My house is brimming with houseguests from Australia, Pittsburgh and Manila but I am happy to have family visiting. It is a lot of work on top of Berting!
What can I say about Morongo that Q3 has not already said? (Q3 so nice to see you again and thank you for a wonderful recap). It was fabulous and the first time I have seen Adam live since QAL last year in LA. There I Said It was out of this world. I was in tears the whole time. And once again, a big THANK YOU to all the kind Atoppers who made it possible for me to take my son, my sister, a cousin and her husband to the concert. They were so impressed with the Glamily and how we have each other's back. They all had a blast and were blown away. My sister has always liked Adam but fell in love with him in Morongo.
I sat next to two college girls and they were dancing the whole time and knew all the words. And boy, could they scream! One told me she has loved Adam since Idol when she was only 14 years old. Both of them have been to 5 concerts. Loved meeting young fans who get him.
And as if Morongo was not enough, we had The Talk yesterday. My son, sister and SIL came with me - our first to go to a live TV taping. It was very organized and yes, we were all decked out in bright jewel tone tops per the instructions we received from CBS. And Adam, being the fashionista that he is, immediately commented. Adam never looked more beautiful and relaxed. The ladies loved him. It looked like the whole staff came out to see him which was good and bad, good that they wanted to check him out but bad because they stood in front of us so we could not get a good view of Adam. And we were not allowed to change seats. The applause for Chris Colfer (love him too) was not as loud and boisterous as the cheers for Adam. I would say the audience was about 70% Adam fans. The rest were tourists or people who were on standby (locals).
Adam was so gorgeous and what a smile. And that voice never ceases to give me goosebumps. It sears my soul and leaves me speechless. My sister literally melted and wished she could have run out and given him a kiss. I have turned my sister into a bonafide Glambert! My SIL was dancing her bun off. Needless to say, both were so happy that they were able to come with me to the show.
During commercials, one of the staff member asked the audience how many times have they seen Adam in concert. One lady who was accompanied by her DH said 35 times and going to see him in South America. The staff member asked the DH what he thought of his wife's obsession and he gamely answered, "I have been with her on 33 of the 35 times!" Awwwww.....what a sweetheart! Then one audience member raised her hands and said she has been to 105 shows including Moscow. WOW, some real die hard fans in the audience.
I spoke to a couple from Texas who were here on vacation. They never heard of Adam so I asked their opinion. They were blown away by his performance. I spent at least 20 minutes while waiting in line for the shuttle bus to tell them about our BB and not just about his stellar talent but about how good a person he is. They kept nodding their heads and I think they were impressed because they guy told me he will definitely buy Adam's album when they get back home.
My heart is full.

Q3, are you going by special reports that you get vs from the All Access site? I know the data is the same it's just a lot of work going thru the All Access site and keeping track of information week to week on individual stations. GT has also been way way behind in AI up until last week compared to other songs with the same spin count. Now it's quite a bit closer so we are either getting a switch to bigger stations or a switch to better air times. I am traveling and just did some quick calculations based on the All Access data. There are a lot of moving parts on AI -- spins, station audience size, daypart rating but usually the increase in AI is mostly from the increase in spins vs. a programmatic switch (daypart shift) and that is the case with GT. And it is really pretty much the same rank on AI and Spins -- #25 in spins, #28 in AI. There is one real outlier on the chart right now, 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER She's Kinda Hot, #33 in spins but AI is 17.333 which is getting a lot of big market play. Generally, Adult Pop artists (like Adam and Sam Smith) have lower AI than songs that are urban/R&B until they get into the Top 10. To illustrate -- here are the songs in the 20's which are moving up the chart: 21 Zedd spins 3987 AI 16.146 average AI/spin 0.004049661 22 Omarion spins 3642 AI 22.017 average AI/spin 0.00604530523 Silento spins 3023 AI 14.691 average AI/spin 0.004859742 24 Flo Rida spins 2874 AI 14.142 average AI/spin 0.004920668 25 ADAM spins 2738 AI 11.2 average AI/spin 0.00409057726 Sam Smith spins 2576 AI 9.429 average AI/spin 0.003660326 28 Kaya Stewart spins 2431 AI 8.51 average AI/spin 0.003500617 29 Shawn Mendes spins 2233 AI 8.428 average AI/spin 0.003774295 Average AI per spin these 8 songs 0.004448732
AI is in millions. Ghost Town is -8% below the average but that is because Omarion is getting a lot of spins in big markets.

This! It frustrates me too. Pet peeve is when people who weren't there say something "didn't work! " Unless one has the perspective of the entire stage and audience, then they really don't know! Patti, I am sure we all know it's not the same. There is no way to duplicate the full effect of being at Adam's concert - there is so much ENERGY in the air around him. We are so fortunate to have an opportunity to get the recordings and have at least some idea of the performances. Wether we want it or not - we form an opinion on what we experience via those recordings. Having the recaps from the lucky attendees is like adding another dimension! SO, BRING ON THOSE RECAPS! Help us all! I appreciate the recap so much! Was unable to attend the concert as I was still on a long planned vacation, and once I got back on Sunday I literally devoured the videos, but watched patiently in performance order to get the feel of the concert. I loved the whole show and the few surprises Adam treated us to, and I could really imagine me being there and taking it all in one moment at a time. Adam has such keen stage awareness and his finely tuned vocals and sense of artistry take even the most amazing song to another level. I'm stoked. The next concert won't be missed.

Sounds like from Shosh that he may be going back to England for more promo? And more events in Australia was to be expected. Guess there's no hope he will hit the SE US...Atlanta, Nashville, etc. Miami doesn't count. lol It is seeming more certain that we will get a US tour and that will have to include Atlanta and Nashville. I wonder if the first concert will be Wilkes Barre again? Yes, I EXPECT some SE TOH Tour dates...I was thinking more of radio promo stops this year. Adam likes the South...he's said so more than once. lol If TOH 2016 Tour opens in Wilkes Barre I will try hard to be there. There's something magical about that place....who would have ever thunk it prior to his first visit.

Loved watching Adam on "The Talk" and seeing some very familiar Glambert faces in the audience. What an experience it must have been to be at both events with enthusiastic family members!

Thanks for the Morongo review Q. Enjoyed reading it. That is one show many of us wished they could have attended. Seeing Adam appear on the stage in his hat, wearing white and all of a sudden lighting up, OMG that had to have looked cool. Not to mention his vocals. Cant for get those. He seems to be getting a feel of his new songs, gotta have a 2016 TOH tour, we just gotta.

I wondered if CBS requested bright colors for the shows taping, seems people are always dressed colorfully. Glad you had a great time, sounds like it was a blast. Awesome Adam noticed too. He looked sensational!
