I set my Chrome to load with 10 pages open at page 2 of this poll. (can't remember who gave the tip for this but, you know who you are ). So, every time I go to the internet now I vote at least 10 times ( :-/). The thing I'm finding annoys me most is that I can't find any sign of the progress of the poll. Is that because I never see anything but page 2 now, or are they playing with us by a) making us write in Adam's name, because they know we will and b) making it a game of blind man's buff because again they know we'll play ???. Are we so predictable .

Beautiful Minds Musings on the Many Paths to Greatness by Scott Barry Kaufman Why Scotty McCreery Will Win American Idol www.psychologytoday.com/blog/beautiful-minds/201105/why-scotty-mccreery-will-win-american-idolInteresting theory..Adam mention This year's James Durbin was extremely talented and put all his passion into every single performance, but like Adam Lambert who was eliminated in the finale two seasons ago, he came out too stong, too early. Also like Lambert, Durbin was too good, too out there, made too many voters uncomfortable, and did this all too consistently. This guy seems to think the judges are brighter than most of us do! "What the judges did on Thursday was very clever. They decided to actively re-calibrate Haley's arc, making people empathize with her, and want to root for her to make a comeback." ???.

I was watching my DVD of Adam's Idol performances last night. James is so far inferior to Adam that it isn't even apples and oranges--it's Swiss chocolate and--I don't know, paper clips. (Adam being the Swiss chocolate, of course.) James never could have performed "Mad World" or "Tracks of My Tears" as beautifully as Adam did. James couldn't have even done "Whole Lotta Love" as great as Adam did. James doesn't have the control, the pitch, the range, or the versatility that Adam has. Even when Adam does a straight-up rock song, his voice goes places that put colors and textures into it that James couldn't manage in his wildest dreams. James is not that good. He just isn't. That's not just an opinion, because there are objective qualities that makes someone a better singer than someone else. Adam is a much better singer than James, and anyone who claims differently is just plain wrong.

I didn't read the article - when he said JD was "extremely talented" he lost me. And the Adam comparison is not really accurate. He's looking for Adam hits, like everyone else! JMO

That's not just an opinion, becaue there are objective qualities that makes someone a better singer than someone else. Adam is a much better singer than James, and anyone who claims differently is just plain wrong. But, but... Murly...the voice doesn't seem to matter...Top40 has mostly singers that can't sing without autotune, are not great live performers, aren't great communicators, have attitudes, are not humble, do drugs etc, etc, etc yet they are popular and successful. Based on Durbin's interview he actually believes he did his best performances this last week and was "pinpoint on". Whether he can compete in the atmosphere of today's music world is the big question. Adam finds it hard to navigate and he is extremely talented.
