I really hope we get vids from the Russian concert. I can't believe that Adam is going to sing for 80 min. and we might not get to hear it. Esp. if he is going to sing some different songs. |

Maybe some of the crew travleing with him might take pics and video? If Warren can't go maybe dougiesaurus will? |

Okay, so Adam is the Ultimate Idol! Yeyyyy!!!  And Finland won the Ice hockey WC! Yeyyyy!!! So why am I feeling depressed? :( - Scroll alert: depressed ranting ahead - I wasn't going to watch the hockey game last night due to an early wake-up call, like I told you yesterday. Well, went to bed after 10, fell asleep and woke up at 20 past 11 because my baby was barking due to the noise he heard from downstairs apartment. Yes, they were celebrating Finland's fourth goal - even I could hear that now that I was awake. Tried to sleep for a while when there was another roar - 5-1. As there were only couple of minutes left of the match, I decided to watch it, and ended up going to bed around 12.30 am after the medal ceremony. However, I was still awake at 1.30 because of the noise from the street outside (and I don't live in the city center but in a suburb). And the alarm was going to ring at 5.00! So, what has this got to do with Adam, you may ask? After 3 and half hours sleep I woke up, went to work and spent the morning half asleep in two meetings - booooorrring. During my lunch break I went through yesterday's thread trying to wake up, and what did I find? I found a video of paps harassing Adam and Sauli at Hotel Cafe. I found posts of possibly private photos which had been somehow leaked to the public. First I got mad, and then I got really sad. I just kept thinking: How can anyone cope with that? Every time you go out, the paps are following. You basically don't have any privacy outside your own home. You are being photographed and videoed everywhere. And why? Because we - and I'm including myself here - want to see as much of our hero as possible. The paps are simply answering to a demand. The fans want pictures, and pictures they get, many times no matter what. And at times when I'm reading gossip magazines at hair dresser's or juicy stories in the net, I just get so ashamed and angry at myself... I don't know... maybe I'm just too tired. I get easily depressed when I haven't slept enough, and a bit more than 4 hours in total is defnitely not enough for me. Perhaps I should just go to bed and get some sleep... |

WOW animated I just love your creativity!! Me, too! We have some very talented people on this board. I'm voting in the Billboard awards and getting more and more pissed off every time I do it. I think that once a performer gets a certain number of write-in votes, their name should be added to the list. Even copying and pasting, it takes longer for us to vote than for the fans of the artists who are listed. I don't see how we can possibly win this thing when other fans just have to click a dot over and over. |

Yes, it is disturbing that Adam has had so much of his privacy ripped away from him. (I am not going to say he surrendered it, because it wasn't his choice.) But, but, but, I was so proud of the folks here at ATop yesterday. When the private pics broke, they were quickly posted here. Then, when we realized that they were probably PRIVATE, the decision was made to remove them from the site. Not that Adam would ever know. Not that it would keep them from being viewed all around the world from other accounts. We removed them because we respected Adam. That, ladies and gentlemen, is classy. |

I really hope we get vids from the Russian concert. I am in touch with a Russion on twitter and she is going to the concert and is video taping it..I asked her if she'll put the vids on YT and she said she'll share them..don't know if she means YT or directly on twitter |

miachihu - yes, there is a demand for all things Adam from his fans, however, most Adam fans want him to keep a semblance of privacy. That being said, before he ever went on Idol, he had lived in LA a long time, knew enough semi-famous/famous people who get hounded and followed by paps and fans and was not ignorant as to what he might be getting into if he should get what he desired.
I think if anyone can keep good boundaries and sanity around the fame, it is Adam Lambert. He's happy. He has an amazing family, awesome friends, an adorable boyfriend, he is living his life out loud, he's making music and living a good life. These invasions of privacy are the price he pays and I believe he was not unaware of the price when he signed on for this. At any moment he could choose to no longer be a part of it. Fade away, stop going out, stop making music, become a hermit. But the man is an extroverted performer, so he continues on, doing his thing, knowing that there are times the private becomes public. Tis the price of fame.
My hope for him is that he continues to keep the balance between public and private and classy fans like us encourage others to help protect that balance.
