You know this would make for a pretty good night at the SB All-Bay Area Show: Metallica, Green Day, Santana, and The Grateful Dead

Could be worse than TS - I won't respond with the actual names of performers who are everywhere on every award show. QAL I think would be a long shot, but maybe not so out of the possibility. Haven't the current touring classic rock acts been on for the superbowl? I'm sure the producers for the Superbowl have the resources for the pyrotechnics and staging, etc. but the performer has to bring the presence to bring it all off. Classic rock acts have been asked to headline the Super Bowl halftime show a few years ago....as wildarose mentioned, The Who, The Rolling Stones, and Paul McCartney. Now in the last several years they have been targeting current very popular acts. I remember last year Katy Perry was asked. There was an uproar created when it was discovered that the NFL was so bold as to try to demand that the star give them a percentage of their earnings for a year after their NFL appearance! The thinking being, of course, that the halftime show would boost the star's sales, etc.! I don't think this went over too well with the potential performers, lol. Who knows what they will try to get this year.
