The lyrics to Hair are comical. “I am my Hair.” “I’m as free as my hair.” Really????? If she hadn't said this was the album that was going to change the world, I might be more forgiving of the crap that is coming out of it! Color me confused - but WHY are all these Gaga songs coming out? Is this some new strategy for album releases? Release one new song a week and push whichever song gets the most interest? Isn't that a bit monetarily wasteful (if you need to pay radio squeeze on a per song basis)? ??? i wondered if it is as simple as people buying enough singles on Itunes before release to do "Complete the Album" on Itunes. The album would open big. It seems too much and confusing to me. I doubt I am the target audience. LOL I do know I spend a lot of time with teens and they are over Gaga. My daughters and their friends haven't liked any of the songs released.

Love the ROTL smiley hoppers, but seriously; I was writing that post and realized I had no idea what the last garment a male stripper wears is called. Women wear pasties and g-strings but what do they call the item which covers the man parts just before they are exposed?
My education is limited. Must go check out the urban dictionary or maybe not as it is so close to bedtime and I want sweet dreams, not wet or disturbed ones.

Keyboard, this is a perfect example of "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus." Women like to discuss things ad nauseum. Explore every possible angle of a discussion. It's what we do. Men are more, "look this is the way it is, now move on." ;D What whe said. keyboard we gurls are at the same place as you are, but we have to talk about it first. Okay! Now moving on.

Hmmm..... I just read the Steve Gray article someone posted earlier in the day: "Adam Lambert Heads Right Into Gay Bashing Russia" www.therealstevegray.com/2011/05/adam-lambert-heads-right-into-gay-bashing-russia/and I'm getting a lot more nervous than I was initially. NOT about the concert or what might happen on the concert grounds, but about what could happen before or after the concert. Adam has both demonstrated he can either stand out in a crowd, or blend in if he wants to. However, I get the sinking feeling there's a lot of slippery steps there. Forgive me for saying its good he doesn't look too Jewish. My FIL who grew up on the Polish/Russian border (and who spent a large part of his childhood in a labor camp in Siberia) has some very frightening stories about what happened to people who where merely thought to be Jewish by their facial features. Based on Steve Gray's reporting, being recognized as gay is a likewise dangerous situation. Adam is both gay and Jewish going to country with a long history of hating both. He doesn't know the language or the culture, so he might not recognize when he's in potential trouble. I'm fairly certain that the concert will go fine. It the "everything else". I was never nearly as concerned about Malaysia as I'm getting about this. I'm so agreeing with one of the commenters posted beneath the article. [/i][/ul] I'm proud for him that he got the invite. But, NGL, I'll breathe a lot better once he's back.

But the idea of "complete this album" is a good approach too! Hadn't thought of that. ETA: ETA: About Gaga's album. I was e-mailed a full download of it today!! Holy cow!! I hope this doesn't happen when Adam #2 comes out.

HSM, I don't think he'd be invited, if they thought there would be a problem. I'm not going to worry.

Taking chances is one of the reasons we love him.

Isn't that a bit monetarily wasteful (if you need to pay radio squeeze on a per song basis)? ??? Yes, it's a new strategy, I forget which artists but a couple of them have used it in the last 6 months or so to pump up interest in an upcoming album. You basically release a new song to itunes every couple days right before the album drops. Not all of these songs are actual radio singles, and while part of the promo UMG has no doubt paid for includes some generous spins during this album drop period of a couple weeks, once it's over they'll go back to spinning the shit out of the actual single. It's a good strategy if people like the music, because it makes it much more likely that people will buy the whole album. And while many people here don't care for the music, I'm not sure we're her target audience. I'm hearing the exact opposite from my Gaga loving coworkers here in the bay area, and also unconditional love from my brother and his crowd in NYC for her new music. I would be very surprised if this album doesn't end up doing really really well.

You guys, that Steve Gray dude is a stan, but has been obsessed with Adam's trip to Russia ever since it was announced. He already has a huge problem with gay singers doing concerts in countries where homosexuality is illegal, he was beside himself about Malaysia back then. I don't think he has very objective viewpoint on this particular subject, although I find a lot of his other posts funny or informative. But at this point I've lost count of the number of concern trolling posts he's put up about the Russia concert he's done so many.
