Well Shosh didn't do very well in the UK, did she!!! He needs that market and she is a royal fail there!!! Shoshanna is Adam's publicist. She is not responsible for getting radio play -- getting radio play is the record label's job. Adam has gotten a lot of press coverage in the UK (and other countries) this year, due to Shoshanna's efforts. She has done a great job for him. ETA: He doesn't "need" that market. It'd be nice and a plus, but he doesn't "need" it!

apparently GT is no longer on bbc2 radio playlist I think somebody posted late last week that it wasn't showing anymore. They said that didn't mean they wouldn't play it but it wasn't guaranteed it's one spin a day anymore. I'd hoped that Capital would have spun it but haven't seen anything posted on it. GT is nowhere to be found on Spotify or Shazam in the UK so I think they just aren't seeing a ground swell. As peeps have said in the past he probably needs a tune in the top 10 US to have much of a chance on UK radio.

I'm personally thrilled with the PR Adam has received and with the reception GT has gotten from radio, and that comes from someone in the luke-warm Chicago market. Poor Shoshanna must have been so frustrated during the Trespassing era, watching RCA neglect Adam and the album even as she tried to promote. Even if GT progresses no further on the charts, I think it's safe to call it a "hit," and, thanks in no small part to Shoshanna, Adam has successfully been reintroduced to the world. GT is a "cool" song, and the passage of time since his run on Idol has served to remove most, if not all, of the Idol "curse." Regardless of where it winds up on the charts, I believe GT has done its job to prime the pump for future hits off of the album, and I think Shoshanna has done her job in presenting Adam as a legit player in the pop world.

I think maybe before too much time passes they should get the 2nd single out!!!!

It's a song that lyrically reflects on summer, so, to me, it has its best chance of catching on, here in the US, anyway, just as listeners are transitioning to the winter months. ALN is actually my favorite of the main album (These Boys is my fav overall, I think), but it seems more wintry to me. I envision it in January or early February.
