My country is the tiniest little market, but it pays attention to UK radio. Whatever they play - we play, and that's why GT isn't getting any spins here. Nobody here knows this song even exists, except for fans. I don't know, but I guess we aren't the one and only country in the world that takes after the UK. Aren't there a few others? Beside, the list here shows that the UK is the fourth biggest music market in the world. That's huge! Why would we not care about such big market? Yes, that confused me too as the received wisdom, here and on other boards, for the last few years is that it's important for Adam to have a degree of success in the UK. Japan has a large revenue but when you look at the top 50 of the current Japanese Hot 100 there is a majority of Japanese artists on there, apart from Carly Rae Jepson, Taylor Swift, Walk the Moon and 1D. The German chart is a mix of German, US & UK artists too. I know we're a small country but we are generally influential in music terms.

And what you thought about the singer? Mark Martel, his name right...? was he good? I know he has a hell of a voice, but in overall...style, showmanship?)) Lots of diehard Queen fans, especially here in Russia, prefer him to Adam, which I think is...well, not very smart)) I think he is good, and sometimes very good. There were songs that he really shone on (Hammer to Fall, Bo Rhap, Love of my Life, I want it all). Sometimes his tone comes really close to Freddie's and I can see why some Queen fans prefer him. He is a rocker. For me personally it took me some time to get used to him. Sometimes his gestures mimic Freddie's and I found that distracting. In the first half the show sometimes felt a bit like it was too studied, but as they got on and the audience got into it they got better. But I don't really know if it would be fair for me to judge Marc Martel, because it took me a while to get past my feeling that he was not Adam and not Freddie either. Which says more about me than about him. He didn't grab my heart like Freddie and Adam do. But he gave it his all. And he is good. And a fun night was had by everyone. He was really nice too. My Queen fan friends took me to a Meet and Greet afterwards and we chatted a bit with the band. (Did I mention that the bass player is really cute? And that he blew me a kiss?)

Hmm. In listening to Adam's description above of ALN...I'm wondering if maybe he'll want to present these songs "in order" since he said ALN is the day and night after The Original High. I can see it maybe working well on radio, but personally I like TOH better. So, I'll be happy with whichever song is released next and then the other one as a 3rd single in the spring.

Before I went to QAL I preferred not to watch anything concerning tributes, collaborations and wasn't really interested in Brian's and Roger's present activity. So if Adam never happened to me I would too think that Marc fits better, because his resemblance to Freddie and stuff...but once I saw Lambert on action...well, that been said zillion times - there's no one but him who can sing with Queen now) No doubt, Martel looks like a nice guy and I wish him all success in his career, if he has one, besides Extravaganza ..but yes, after Adam and Freddie he is kind of flat for me) Glad you had a great time) and the bassist IS cute, agree))

It's not the hit that make people sick because of amount of airplay from EVERYWHERE))) For me it's the kind of song that appears relatively rarely comparing to, say, "Love Me Like You Do" or "See You Again", but when it does it's like holiday in the car (room, club, cafe, restaurant) and people listen to it even when it's gone from radio and TV, because it's always insufficient. ok, idk how to explain, what I wanna say here..whatever)) I'm sure if TOH will be the next single, it will smash tho...and smash hard) Like, people are still hungry for it... I would like TOH as the next single too, he seems to get great pleasure out of performing it..
