I think Ghost Town is a hit! Not a "smash" hit, but a hit. Didn't someone say a while back that you could consider top 30 a hit, top 20 a big hit, and top 10 a smash? Arbitrary, but makes sense. I've sure heard GT on the radio more than I've ever heard an Adam song on the radio, including WWFM, but then again this is Seattle-Victoria-Vancouver radio I'm talking about, lol. Who said GT isn't a hit! OFC it is! You know why Top 40 is called Top 40? Because making that 40 mark is a big deal! Making 30 is even better! And 23 is better yet! It is being played on 189 of 200 Top 40 stations! Anyone that says GT isn't a hit does not know what they are talking about! Exactly!!!

As WBR CEO I have to make long range plans. Not just "what's next?", but after that and after that? So my single plan for our bright star is : TOH next, then Rumors, then ALN. That should take us through summer of 2016. If we have a 5th single (rare) I would choose TISI!

My country is the tiniest little market, but it pays attention to UK radio. Whatever they play - we play, and that's why GT isn't getting any spins here. Nobody here knows this song even exists, except for fans. I don't know, but I guess we aren't the one and only country in the world that takes after the UK. Aren't there a few others? Beside, the list here shows that the UK is the fourth biggest music market in the world. That's huge! Why would we not care about such big market? Yes, that confused me too as the received wisdom, here and on other boards, for the last few years is that it's important for Adam to have a degree of success in the UK. Japan has a large revenue but when you look at the top 50 of the current Japanese Hot 100 there is a majority of Japanese artists on there, apart from Carly Rae Jepson, Taylor Swift, Walk the Moon and 1D. The German chart is a mix of German, US & UK artists too. I know we're a small country but we are generally influential in music terms. I agree. We do punch above our weight in terms of 'influence' and, given that UK market is also one of the big 4 in it's own right, that makes us an important market. Plus, Adam's extensive UK exposure with QAL was there to be leveraged.

It was 48 on Sirius just a couple of days ago and it is now 43. My little social experiment radio station in Miami is now the #12 leader in the US with 47 spins and GT moved to 17 on their play list. The #8 spinner with 52 spins is Daytona Beach FL where GT is #8 on their playlist. These were deader then dead last era. 2 Florida stations in the top 20 spinners for GT. A miracle is happening folks. Let's not miss the forest for the trees. ETA TOH all the way! Adam's bliss when singing this song is palpable and it was his entry to Max Martin and his guiding light for the new era.

Just to be clear, I was just responding to skaschep's post, which was apparently responding to something I don't remember seeing. I agree it's a hit! Maybe it was someone talking about the UK. Just to be clear . I was just trying to stir things up after a bit of negativity yesterday. I also love those tweets though and wanted to bring them here. OF COURSE Ghost Town is a hit!!!! And it's a smash hit in some countries (F.I. the Netherlands)! For other chart positions just check out the wiki page: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_Town_(Adam_Lambert_song)
