Which is kinda weird, because even if released, it isn't a hit yet.... Well even radio DJ's of radio eska are saying that ALN is a huge hit already hahahahahahaha :D For noe it's funny as hell, but I'm sure,ALN will be a huge hit for real as GT is :D

Funny, I've had many conversations about alternate universes for the last week..

Today is the first day that I thought about single #2 as a non-fan --- and I think ALN is the right choice. Staging and sequence matters in creating hits. And it seems like the right track for now.
Here is a rough summary of my logic.
1. TOH is my favorite track on the album and it should be/will be a single. I think it will be stronger if it is single #3. It has a chance to be the BIG track from this album but only if it is released once they have re-established Adam as a current pop artist.
>> Season matters for this one: I think this track needs to be released in April headed into SUMMER, not in October heading into snow. It is also the perfect song to release before the TOH North American Tour.
>> Pop Radio has a love-hate relationship with disco beats -- and is some big markets, it is mostly hate: It is a multi-genre, soft rock to neo-disco track that might has a rough time on the radio in the UK, Canada, US, NZ and Asia (markets where disco-based dance tracks do not fair well on pop radio) if released now BUT if it is the #3 track released by an artist with 2 recent hit songs, the "anti electro-dance" bias will be easier to overcome.
>> It has a "throw back" beat that is not currently on pop radio: The beats on this song is really familiar to people over 50 but not to people under 40. [Soft rock intro to neo-disco -- it is not your average pop song!) Musical taste is formed when people are 12 - 25 and pretty much stays there -- there is a lot of research about this. MOST people who are under 40 strongly prefer dance music based on funk beats. (Oddly both disco and funk/hip hop dance music is from the 1970's, making it with synths makes it current, but the root beat structure remains.) If you have been listening to hip hop/funk beats for the past 20 years, TOH might not be your cup of tea.
2. ALN is a irresistible pop track. Play it for a pop music fan who has never heard it and they will be singing along by the time the song ends.
>> ALN is great live and will be great on TV.
>> Adam just got a deep house track on US Pop and HAC radio. Now is a good time to pivot to a mainstream pop song. Then go back to something more unusual.
Here are a couple reviews of ALN that capture the spirit of this song.
FemaleFirst.cp.uk: "This is a track that's hit me like no other song Adam's released has managed to do. It's utterly tragic and compelling - I thought Adam had done a great job of conveying those emotions in the past but this song really blows anything like it out of the water. The chorus sees Max Martin and Shellback add their own touch of m,agic, proving that this collaboration was a match made in heaven." Lyndsey Parker: "“Another Lonely Night” – The music bed of this jaunty track is misleadingly happy-go-lucky, all Sharks-vs.-Jets finger-snaps and percolating synth beats. But take a listen to the breakup lyrics, which seem to revisit that desolate ghost town in Lambert’s mind. “All I got is your ghost,” he laments. A perfect mix of happy/sad and sweet/sour..."
ALN has the potential to be as big as WWFM: it fits 3 genres Pop, HAC and AC, and it connects to Adam's real life -- just like WWFM did.
