Still, I've heard more applause for no-name bands in festivals. don't worry - he took this gig for the TV part not for the crowd part - I am 100% sure about this. I am also sure (speculation ofc) he could've been at a festival this weekend (like the Billboard 100 on Long Island), but NBC televising internationally is a waaaay better exposure imo ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I haven't watched any of the videos or TV yet, but I know in the past there have been videos when we thought the crowd was dead, but those in attendance said there was plenty of crowd enthusiasm. I'll wait to see what those who were there say, but won't fret either way - Nica is absolutely right about the TV exposure. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

These videos with him singing with sunglasses on really emphasize for me how much he uses his (gorgeous) eyes to communicate with his audience. Lots of power in that unfettered gaze.
Of course, he looked and sounded great.
Thanks to the streamer and the videographers, as always.

You can't judge the audience reaction from a video that is made with camera and microphone focussed on the performer. It was a very small crowd in comparison to what he usually performs in front of, but i thought it was very enthusiastic for what it was. I agree, even when they panned to the whole stadium I'm not sure how they figure their 60,000 audience. Maybe that many over a 10 day period. Is it like tennis and there is more than one playing area?
