GT is really an outstanding song to be able to stay this long in the radio pop.
I recalled this was just a week before the Pretty Girls arrived. All these big songs that competed along in pop during GT era from :
CALVIN HARRIS - Pray To God f/HAIM
NICKI MINAJ - The Night Is Still Young
RIHANNA - American Oxygen
BRITNEY SPEARS & IGGY AZALEA Pretty Girls
MAROON 5 - This Summer's Gonna Hurt
SAM HUNT - Take Your Time
They all have gone..
The only other song that is longer than GT and still doing well is FallOutBoy

The only other song that is longer than GT and still doing well is FallOutBoy Yes I've noticed this as well. So many songs have come and go already and GT is still hanging on. It isn't a #1 hit, but it could be around for quite some time still. Still no sign of fast dropping (for the Netherlands at least) and I also hope it can gain some places in the US. Great AI update again! |

GT made it to the Global Top 50 in Spotify for the first time!  Guess those extra lists it was put on and Adam posted about on Facebook did their job!! |

Yay!! GT held off Macklemore for #23! It will pass tomorrow but I did not want another Sunday drop! Just did the math on the songs dropping & I think these songs with drops of already -100 to -300, could accelerate even more & be gone by next Sunday: Bad Blood, Platten, Zedd, Derulo, Flo Rida. OMI has a big minus but is so high, he might last a few more weeks. Skrilkex goes recurrent! MM will pass and Calvin Harris is coming on strong. But with the drops, GT could be Top 20 next Sunday!  ETA: OMG! GT has been added to the Z daytime rotation!! 6 spins so far today! About every 2 hours! Squeeeeeee!! |

My take on the "numbers game" for this coming week assuming GT stays positive: Obviously MackL passes tomorrow = GT#24 and I think GT is safe from NJonas and Harris for this week . On the declining side: - a very strong possibility for both FloR and Derulo to fall below = GT #22 (although FloR has 9 lives alike GT) - quite possible both Skrillex and Platten get knocked out of top 10 by The Weeknd, and Skrillex goes recurrent = GT #21 - Zedd needs to be dropping about 300/day for GT to pass by next Sunday - IF YES = GT #20 but I doubt it - Bad Blood needs to be dropping over 500/day for GT to pass - not happening this coming week imo.. In short I would bet on #21 for the next published chart, with a very slight chance at #20 - which is AWESOME as this is the very first time I see a REAL possibility of #20!  and the week of 9/14 will be very interesting, again assuming GT stays positive! ETA: HAC chart looks crazy with all but TS and 2-3 more gaining and everyone else declining  , may be the holiday weekend is somehow affecting the songs they play on HAC???? idk... anyway - GT is going back to #18 on Tuesday I guess...see nothing else coming any time soon...Wiz need to get knocked out of top 10 to go recurrent but the only challenger seems to be TS and that'll take another week. |

I may have jumped the gun on the Z rotations! The 9 a.m. spin was their AT40. But the 6 a.m. spin was an extra one. So, around Noon, eastern time, should tell the story!

Chart updates from the Netherlands: NL Top 40: #8 (from #8) Mega Top 50: #10 (from #11) Single Top 100: #14 (from #12) iTunes Top 30: #11 (from #9) SlamFM 40: #32 (from #29) Global Dance Chart: #15 (from #19)  GT held again on the Top 40 and gained back a spot in the Mega Top 50. Still doing very nice. In iTunes he's hanging on to the lower 10's at the moment. The drop to 11 in the iTunes top 30 was a bit of a surprise for me, but the song that jumped passed has two versions in iTunes, so they put those together probably. In Spotify GT is dropping slightly in the Netherlands, but still very solid at #16 in the Top 50 chart. |
