Impressive number of tickets sold for the festival. If I recall correctly, in a recent interview, Adam commented that he'd be performing for about 100,000 people during Rock in Rio. I wonder if that's the estimate he was given for opening night? I guess all 600,000 people don't show up all at once or don't all choose to come to the same stage, but from the pictures I've seen of past crowds for big acts, it looked like way more than 100,000 people! Plus all the people watching on TV or streams.
Now I've been to the Beijing part of the Great Wall and I walked a very small part of it. All I can say is if Adam were to visit it, it's gonna be freezing cold and the hike is not easy at all! But, the panoramic view of endless mountains is breathtaking. Something VERY different from hiking in LA! Hope he gets to do just that, it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
That was a great interview with Adam for China. Hope he does get a chance to see the Great Wall on his next visit. I made that climb (of the portion they'll let you climb) about seven years ago, but I don't know if I would have continued if not for my cousin who was really eager to reach the top! I had the worst jet lag I've ever experienced in my life after I returned home from that trip. Took me five days to recover. I continually marvel at how Adam is able to function after long-haul flights.
