REALLY wish Second Skin was in there. Not so turned on by the others but that one is great. 1) SECOND SKIN (to over-explain: nod to the second-ness of the album, and a gesture of respect to how well all of Adam's myriad "clothes" fit him, like a second skin, like a natural expression of who he is and a real part of him; plus the leather thing, and the skin-tight pants thing, lol. Also, I feel like it seems on this album Adam may "show some skin," emotionally speaking--a variation on all the "NAKED" and "UNCOVERED" type title suggestions. Also, some sort of metaphorical suggestion that Adam's music is his "second skin.") I really liked "Second Skin" for the next album name also. With Adam on the cover in skin tight leather? Maybe something like this picture? (but with a shorter shirt to show the rear better!) flic.kr/p/9fEHUu

LindaG23:
I agree; I haven't been listening to radio as much lately because I've finally been able to replace my GNL CD addiction for audiobooks again, but I do flip around periodically during my commute. KIIS-FM is still very urban-skewing (I'm convinced they have four songs on rotation right now) one is "Rolling in the Deep" (an exception to the urban MO) and the other is "I Need a Doctor," which I hear ever single time I flip to the station, I swear. I like the song, but if I listened continuously, I'd probably be going batty.
I guess I hear JLo's song and BTW quite often too, but nothing else seems to really be taking hold. (Ryan's Top 5 at 9 seems to mix up a lot, but I don't listen to it that consistently either because that's when I'm getting to work.) E.T. was on it for quite awhile, but I think that's faded a bit now.

I guess I'm physically incapable of NOT commenting on the Beth performance whenever it comes up, lol. For me, it was iconic and utterly perfect. And more so in hindsight, imo. Given that it was Adam's last solo on the finale, I feel like his choice of Beth was a statement he wanted to make. Based on what Adam said in the RS interview, the perf with KISS was a giant WTF for him. Not sure what the producers were thinking, but as Q3 said, Adam took it and made sparkling champagne out of lemons. I can only imagine Adam doing his research, listening to the KISS catalog, trying to find something to which he could connect. And brilliantly, he decided upon Beth, a pretty enough little song. When sung by KISS, it speaks to the struggle of a musician torn between the pull of his art and his fellow artists, and the woman waiting at home alone. When sung by Adam, well, there is that meaning also, but the sparkle in his eye when he looks into the camera, and the little brow lift at the end... It was pretty much a wink at the audience, imo, and an "inside" joke for those viewers who wouldn't be surprised by his big announcement in RS a few weeks later, lol. Beautiful! Just for kicks, I found a YT of a KISS live perf of the song, and it's actually quite good, but Adam's vocals leave this in the dust. I do love the orchestral arrangement tho:[cringe] I'm sorry NoAngel, but I couldn't listen to more than about 20 seconds of the singing. It totally sounded like (Peter?) was trying to cough up a hairball while straining out the notes. Literally was getting a pain reaction in my own throat with those first few bars. Maybe it improved later on, but I just couldn't get there. ETA: That said, the staging I saw was really cute.
