Happy Birthday to Mangokat and Lynne 560 and all the rest of you I might have missed of late. Real life has been so busy, and all I've had time to do is quickly skim the news.

I can't find any connection between Whosay management or investors and Adam, Sony/RCA or 19. The is or will be compensation to celebrities who participate in Whosay.
Maybe Adam has a friend who hooked him up with this but it looks more like a decision his management would have recommended he make.

Oh. Um. Well. Not good. More than "a little pitchy, dawg." And lots of strain on the higher notes, which aren't even high. Adam sure knows how to "ruin" a song so that no one else's version, even the original, sounds good. LOL cassie!!! I was just about to put an "ETA2" on that post asking for your opinion, but you answered me before I even asked !!   [laugh] In all seriousness, listen to these side by side..... I'm not a vocal snob, really I'm not. But the soaring of Adam's voice versus the rasping of Peter's truly changes the song for me. ETA: [grin] And that's even ignoring the "sparkling" aspect of the Adam vid, which I actually dislike a LOT because 1) IMO it looks really cheesy, and 2) Adam sparkled plenty before the augmentation! Sometimes "gilding the lily" doesn't make it better. ;D |

I have been digging into Whosaid a bit --
Celebrities by invitation only.
The Celebrity can chose to have ads or not -- Adam is not running ads on his pages. And I never recall seeing an add on his pages. If they run ads, they get some of the revenue.
I think Adam is here because of convenience and + Intellectual Property Protection -- he owns what he posts. So he tweets the tattoo photo and it is automatically copyrighted.

LOL, when I said the KISS perf of Beth was pretty good, I only meant that they made a good effort at conveying the poignancy of the song. A bunch of hoary rock dudes performing that song a million miles from wherever home is... kind of living the image of the song. And I liked all the non-rock instruments  No comparison to Adam's vocals or his brilliant performance, OF COURSE. Just trying to keep an open mind, lol. Anyhoo, none of this changes my opinion that Gene is an certifiable asshole. |
