LOL, when I said the KISS perf of Beth was pretty good, I only meant that they made a good effort at conveying the poignancy of the song. A bunch of hoary rock dudes performing that song a million miles from wherever home is... kind of living the image of the song. And I liked all the non-rock instruments No comparison to Adam's vocals or his brilliant performance, OF COURSE. Just trying to keep an open mind, lol. Anyhoo, none of this changes my opinion that Gene is an certifiable asshole. I hope that you did not think I was criticizing your opinion, NoAngel. Not at all. The staging was very interesting. And I love how Kiss incorporated classical musicians and a classical setting, then painted them with Kiss make-up. Even Peter's vocals are appropriate for the genre. Raspy, unpolished, with that strain or push.... that is the style of the typical rock singer. The dilemma is mine. Adam really does "ruin" me in some ways. I was chatting with a friend who is a trained classical vocalist, and we both commented on how other singers, who we once enjoyed, now fail to impress or move us in the same way after hearing Adam. It is a bit like listening to music on a $49.95 portable radio in mono all your life, thoroughly content and satisfied. Then, you hear music on a top of the line sound system and........ Ohhhhhhh. That's what it can sound like! Ohhhhhhh. I still listen to other artists on my iPod, but find myself coming back, again and again, to listen to Adam's voice.

And a BIG welcome to all our newbies. I absolutely love the international 'flavour' of Adamtopia It would be nice to have a world map with e.g. dots to show all the countries we atopians come from. (Maybe with time zones. ) Australia, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, New Zealand, Romania, Russia, Sweden, UK, US, ... These I remember now.

I was actually intrigued by his charisma before Adam began to sing, but "Mama" clinched it!

Not at all, Cassie Though my opinion is only that, and up for disagreement any ol' time And yeah, ITA on being spoiled by Adam's voice. I do listen to and adore other artists, but now I pay attention to their vocals in a way I never did before. Much of the time they pale in comparison. But I also have learned more about what I am attracted to in music. Yeah, voice is part of it, but great melody, great beats, beautiful or fun lyrics, catchiness... it's all part of the package. I can definitely love an artist with a middling voice if his/her songs have the other characteristics. Luckily, with Adam we can have it all ;D

What a totally cool idea Something like the awesome GNT tour map that JustKaren did. Is there anyone here with the necessary skillz? I'd do it, but don't know how :
