I'm at a loss to understand how that Macklemore and Ryan 'Downtown' is doing so well. I rush to change channel before it gets to the chorus and that girl starts shrieking like a tortured cat. It think it might be the worst song ever recorded and I say that as a fan of 'Thrift shop' and 'Same Love'. Just goes to show that if you are one of the popular artists you could put out any crap and radio will play it. I listened to that song all the way through just once because I never make my final judgement without giving a song a chance, but I just couldn't listen to it twice. Once was enough to last a lifetime! Some pop hits just leave me confused about what attracts an audience to them and this is one of them. |

Not only is radio playing it, but lots of people are buying it too! << Which is probably why radio is playing it! Guess what? That "screeching girl" is a guy! Not only that, it's one of the guy's that the article last week, about "who could sing with Queen" had as one of their picks because of his range!  You want to see something REALLY bad? Look up the performance of this song on Fallon's Tonight how last week! |
