I left this in yesterdays thread as well, in this fan video you can see Rufus trip a switch or plug something in. The sound i the venue is VERY different once he does that. ht tps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RO6pZywti5M also another fan video - Adam is clearly signaling behind his back just before he stops singing. ht tps://youtu.be/uSySyrsSXBs Interesting.. I wonder why none of the tech people on the sidelines noticed it and fix it. Also was Brian's guitar plugged in before and somehow got unplugged or was it a new guitar for the song and never got plugged in to begin with? Inquiring minds want to know.. Amazing how Brian and Adam kept their cool and kept on going like nothing happened. Watched the video again, and Brian doesn't even look up to see why Adam stopped singing and seems unfazed.. And YAY to a sold out show tonight!!!

Rufus clearly does something but it is nowhere near anything that have to do with Brian's guitar - or his amp stack. Hopefully someone from QAL will explain what happened. But one thing is sure, Adam stopped on purpose -- so something could get fixed. And since his mike was working after he stopped, it was not his mike. Maybe Talon or some of his techie friends will know what is on that pole that Rufus fiddled with. A breaker maybe? I love a mystery. LoL. There are probably some clues in that video of Brian's guitar tech last summer. As I recall, he said that they always have extra amps and monitors on stage in case one blows a fuse. Yes, they use old fashion analog equipment with fuses rather than new technology. Likely there is a switch somewhere to switch to a new amp or monitor if needed. They could mount the control switch anywhere or perhaps in multiple places.

Hopefully someone from QAL will explain what happened. But one thing is sure, Adam stopped on purpose -- so something could get fixed. And since his mike was working after he stopped, it was not his mike. I watched both video's several times to see what happens. I notice how Adam looks at Brian after the problem is fixed, see him smiling at Brian and Brian is looking at Adam. But just before and during the malfunction you can't see anything in Adams face: during the first part he must found out something is wrong, but you can't see it in his eyes, what a professional! I wonder what he is signaling behind his back and if anyone of the band/roadies saw that and understood what he meant. I do wonder why he stopped singing: he could go on singing if his mic was still working. Why did Adam walk to Roger and Rufus, didn't any of the roadies noticed it? Was it only Adam who noticed it so he had to go back to fix it together with Rufus? Luckily Rufus knew what he had to do. And also kind of "weird" that Brian just seemed to go on, and not look at Adam when he stops singing and walks back on stage. mysteries, mysteries, mysteries, I would love to find out what happened

Don't know what was the problem with QAL, but Metallica had same kind problems next evening seems to be the same problem indeed. But different with Queen and Adam, they seemed annoyed. Adam solved it in a very respectful way (not to say I wouldn't be annoyed if it was me on that stage killing that guitarsolo like Metallica)

Hope to hear ALN very soon on the radio (and hopefully they will keep GT on the same rotation) And so cool GT is called a monsterhit. It sure is!

And YAY to a sold out show tonight!!! Yeah, I think we're all much more intrigued because no one seemed to react how you'd expect - especially Brian not even glancing Adam's way when he stops singing, that 's really strange. It seems as though Adam stopped singing deliberately to signal the problem, and then Rufus fixed it by flicking that switch. I wonder if because of Adam's in-ear monitor he was the only one on stage to know that Brian's guitar had no sound - but as you say, the tech people should've picked up on it. If so, I'd hate to be the guy who was just momentarily distracted from his duties...... If anything, a mini mystery only adds to the thrill of a show of a lifetime!
