I saw this posted on QZ yesterday but I couldn't view it with IE. Anyway, I ventured over to their RIR thread and a Queen fan posted this in respond to a post about lack of audience response to QAL, based on the official streaming. You know things like they're not loud enough and they didn't sing every songs, etc.. etc.. here's part of the post...

Yeah ill say thats when the Aln promo well begin. He well most likely perform Aln on both shows. Gt gave him his first Us Top 20 Radio Hit since 2010. MV prob around then onwards.
Ghost Town still has some juice in it. It's still being added to radio playlist after all these months. BUT, I'm ready for ALN. I'll bet anything that he will sing it on Seth's show. It has the potential to go to the top, IMO.
Didn't Shosh recently say that Adam would still be promoting Ghost Town as it hadn't peaked yet? It was on the NFL today. It's on Sirius count down. It got a spin on SNOL last night. I think they're still not done with it and they shouldn't be done with it. Perfect for fall !!! Do you think there's a chance both Ghost Town and Another Lonely Night will be performed on the upcoming Seth Meyer and the Today show?  |

Of course they'll continue to play GT, it's Adam's biggest hit since WWFM! I expect if they televise more than one song on those shows he'll do both GT and ALN. But I personally don't see GT going much higher on Top 40 radio, and it certainly seems to be dropping on HAC, so when ALN comes out the promo emphasis will shift to push it up the charts. |

I think GT has peaked, but that does not mean it will not be played, maybe even on the shows you mention but they usually only get one song and it will probably be ALN. The good news is that they will be able to intro it saying, "following on his Top 20 hit Ghost Town!" Also, if I understand it correctly, GT will go recurrent next week and although these songs may disappear from the regular radio charts, they do continue on the Current/Recurrent chart. This means it will be tracked and played from stations' recurrent list. Just think of all the songs that have disappeared from the charts, like every Taylor Swift song ever, but are still played all the time. My guess is that GT will be played quite often as a lead up to Halloween and while ALN begins it's charting. |
