Having spent a lot of time going to QAL concert and talking to many people who work for Queen -- this is very much Brian and Roger's tour. They respect Adam but know who they work for -- Queen. It is like a family -- and I think Adam is now a close cousin -- which is really, really good. I can understand what you are saying Q3 but all the touring Queen did would not have happened without Adam (QAL) so I think it would have been nice and respectful to mention Adam in this last 'from the road' post. Brian and Roger both said none of it would have happened without Adam and they do not want to do anymore touring without Adam. He's their man. I have to admit I am a little disappointed in this Nick guy. This thread is probably dead now, but I don't know how to bring a quote forward into the next day, so here goes. I also understand what Q3 said here, but IMHO I also can see how this narrow-mindedness (is that a word?) being shown by Nick just reinforces the resistance by the old guard Queen fans to accept anything put forth by QAL. No matter how great this collaboration was/is, or how much joy they brought to countless numbers in BOTH fan groups, it is pretty clear that the person chosen to share "news from the road" decided to exclude any mention of the lead singer who made these concerts possible. I refuse to believe he was advised by Dr. Bri or Roger to leave Adam out of his posts. Nick was "playing" to the hardcore old fans, who I am sure loved not seeing "that guy" mentioned at all....  Rant over......time for coffee! Back to lurking! |

That's why I was upset with the poll from UOL they had Queen for best band at RIR, without the headline Queen and Adam Lambert...Found that disrespectful and inaccurate...
