According to the video from Austrslia, she is co-headlining. I'm curious too why they feel the need to have a co-headliner, especially someone who is relatively unknown compared to Adam. Does it have anything to do with slow sales for the concerts or ...?? Sorry for any typos, my computer died and I'm getting eye strain reading the forum via iPhone. ???? From what i read,she's opening for Adam..I bet the shows will sell out for Adam..He's so popular in Australia and New Zealand.. |

Wow, I just watched a few videos of Melanie Martinez. Interesting!!!!!!  IKR! She is very interesting. Was a teen when she was on The Voice and now is just 20. She's really quirky and I like her. She looks like she might bring some interesting visuals as well. I like her too! |

FYI the Auckland show here sold out in 24 hrs lol, so no it has got nothing to do with slow sales. Adams huge over here, not as big as a Sherran, but he is getting their. A lot of concerts supported by IHR and ZM over here have a co-headline, she is on WBR too, so it is prob a great opportunity for her to co headline with a massive international popstar.

I watched the video once and wasn't smart enough to keep playing it. I actually thought the fact it was a MALE stripper was cool--Magic Mike, anyone? And I agree about the dancer who is so balletically trained yet makes her living as a showgirl--I thought this was edgy too, given the NYCity Ballet or the American ballet has just hired its first black prima ballerina. And Gigi is representative of today's Caitlyn Jenner. So although each of them is "vintage," it is also universal with freshened, classic themes. I find the video both poignant and "on point" (pun intended). For your entertainment will always be my fave glam Adam vid, but I think this one features the un-glam side of both Adam and show biz. It is real without being heavy-handed--no one drunk or shooting up which would be the next level down and often the director goes for the shock factor, but this seems to reflect a gentler, but no less gritty reality. Do you think having her open for Adam was Warner Music's decision or I wonder if Adam had a voice in the decision? I don't know how these things work.

Just because 'you/we' don't know her does not mean she is unknown. She is VERY up and coming and has a large VERY active young fan base. She is a good choice for an opener/co-headliner and will be a asset to this tour. |
