Bringing this over from yesterday's thread. I think Adam recorded an acoustic Spotify Sessions album!!! If anyone is wondering what I mean, a Spotify Sessions album is an album which can only be exclusively streamed on Spotify, and is usually a live recording of an acoustic set. So this means we might be hearing some acoustic versions of his songs soon.. Excited!! |

I'm awake!!and wow... Am I awake! This video is very good. Love the story, the extra depth to the lyrics, the bittersweet moments of life. The showbiz and the loneliness after. It does make me a bit sad that this is Adam too... But we knew that. I am loving that the vid is mainly about the stories. Yes, there is a showgirl in there, a muscle clad stripper, a trans woman, a hot (hot!) singer, but all in all those things are secondary, it is the message of the song that matters most. Well done Adam! (and team)Haven't had the chance to listen to more of the Fall Fest than just Wicked Game, but man! That lower register is SEXY! Imagine that, he can't hear a thing and yet this is the best one yet. Ahhhh.. Annnnnnnd the next time he is going to sing I WILL BE THERE!! He will have black hair, which I love (I guess, even Adam wouldn't have time to dye it again between now and flying into Amsterdam tomorrow, right?). I will hear that voice again, maybe even get a chance to look into those eyes. Ahhhhhh! Yeah! Now I am going back to frantically running around finishing work, getting birthday parties organized and most importantly, deciding what I'm going to wear tomorrow. (Tomorrow!!!) .... Skaschep.... Mireille....and all our Atoppers in Holland.....have a wonderful, wonderful weekend with Adam. If we couldn't have him in London, glad you got him....   Thanks for your sweet wishes SophieB !! I am so looking forward to it, all week already. My house is kind of a mess because I am too deciding what to wear, haha: dresses, skirts, shirts all over my floor, but I think I have my outfit ready. I can't believe I am going to see Adam tomorrow and Sunday, I am so lucky  And so good to see nic42 again and meet skaschep in person. |

This has probably already been discussed, but might be a good idea to give the video a few plays off your local iheart station. I just played the link on Chicago's KISS station 103.5. They have been so supportive so far...

As I mentioned on Twitter last night, this song seems sadder now. It was a sing-along, snap your fingers, feel good, happy kind of song with a #moo! But now? The lyrics were always so melancholy though. I think that that is what makes it interesting. We sing along to a happy tune to get through the day --- but if you really hear what we are thinking, and could see our hearts --- I think it's about people living lives in quiet desperation. Setting the video in Las Vegas, in this retro kitch location is just a stroke of brilliance. A place were image and reality are in such start contrast. And then managing to make it feel real -- using such iconic but somewhat trite stereotypes -- Adam as a lounge singer, the male stripper and a lonely person marrying people at the wedding chapel. It is a brilliant video. |
