While vegetating on the couch and catching up on the threads...
Catz = thrilled for you
Our main newspaper here in Phila., had an article on "Idol" winners: The people's choice or...? It starts off So do we get the American Idol we deserve? It compares various contestants and where they are now. The article goes on to say "The most shocking elimination this year was James Durbin. Ah, but rockers who can hit impossibly high notes have limited commercial appeal. Right? Adam Lambert?"
well I thought all along that the front runner was Scotty.
Scimming though yesterdays thread, I know I always miss excitement of Adam twittering.
But someone briefly touched on Adam/Sauli possibly parenting twins.
First of all, I am a twin, my mother was a twin, my husband is a twin and his grandmom had triplets. From my knowledge, twins usually skip. So my boys most likely will have twins. So Sauli's children would most likely have twins, not him unless they sought other methods.
DId Adam make an appearance at the BIllboard awards or mention of him perhaps?

I haven't read the whole thread but I see we have some special Topians needing some light and love sent their way. Big hugs to Wal and Seoulmate.
This place really is a balm to the soul. Last week I struggled with the 30th anniversary of my DH's death. Reading here provided a distraction as did attacking the weeds in my garden. It also helps to know that others have their struggles too. Thanks to all of you who are willing to share those with us.

Atop is such a wonderful place to come to and forget, for a little while, some of the challenges we face.

NoAngel, your post reminded me of a couple interviews/article I've read stating how surprising it is that the biggest stars are often the nicest. I wish I could remember where I heard this, but one source was Byron, the Australian DJ when being interviewed by Juneau and Xena (sp?) He said Johnny Depp would spend the first five minutes asking him about his life with genuine interest and never turn down an autograph seeker, Bono would have had their last interview fresh in his mind (probable from an assistant) so he could convincingly talk like old friends and would have something special for each interview. George Clooney was another. He said it was the mediocre talent who weren't secure in themselves that acted put out by fans and interviewers and tried to play the diva. He said that for a beginner Adam was an exceptional interviewee and his wit and kindness would help him tremendously. This is all from memory so I'm just paraphrasing. I know there are exceptions, but I like to think this is one more sign of good things to come and an added leg up in a tough business. Also, would any of us be so devoted if his heart wasn't as big as his talent? Bono remembers fans all the time. One story of a group of fans that used to follow the band around in the first few years of their touring the US then had kind of faded away but got together about 20 years later to go to a U2 show and Bono remembered them referenced a book one of them had carried with her once when she met him after a show and that he had commented on. The band always sent gifts ahead when they would go to interviews. Bono also often writes letters and keeps in touch with many of the people he has met along the way. Adam seems to be the same way as he has recognized fans from show to show or from M&G and he sent those cards out to all the media peeps. ETA: Seoulmate so sorry to hear about your mom, will be keeping you and yours in my thoughts.

The blog about this picture. Not only is she taller, thinner, prettier and younger, NOW THIS!!!! and that is how I knew about the skeleton key. susysunflower.livejournal.com/51604.htmlExcerpt: Not fair! Not Fair!!! She's not even an Adam fan. The only time she ever got speechless and fan-girly was when Morrissey came into the bookstore where she used to work. You know those LA hipsters; they are proud of not getting starstruck.
Details: Tall and very handsome, smelled like leather up close. They talked about their mutual friends from Skingraft. Sauli (oh, that's his boyfriend? I didn't know who he was. Is he from Europe or something? He had an accent) is adorable, soft spoken, but friendly.
She didn't stick around very long, because it was time to close the gallery, so she missed the actual tattooing and all the pap fun that happened afterwards. Funny thing was that when she called me she said 'don't say anything on Twitter. Kat doesn't want a lot of crazy people showing up here'
No DNA collected, sorry. She said she had to get back to the gallery and she is a married lady.

The conversation wasn't about Adam/Sauli parenting twins, but that Sauli had a twin sister and if A and S wanted to have children that may be biologically related to one or both, they would have to explore the means available to them. One of those options might be surrogacy by a family member. Oh brother; was that article implying Adam had limited commercial appeal because he had a rock wail? Living under a rock much? : Aww, Tinafea!!! I'm sorry you've been going through a rough time too.
